I can't imagine what course of events wouod make him want to be king, much less found a Kingdom.
The author would have to really speed up on the character developmwnt after he killed Lucius for this.
I remember this one conversation from the WN, whwre the guy that was with Lucius offered him a deal. When Rio was making clesr that he wasn't interested in using his strenght for anything, the prince told him "you could do stuff like freeing slaves or liberating the powerless you know?"
Then Rio just shrugged.

Finally finished reading vol 14 Raw ver, reading it from google translate made my head spinning like wheel so i must use every single cell of my brain to understand the story.

Spoiler for about the battle:

Rio vs Lucius start when Rio discovered the 2 princess together with duran and lucius. Before the battle begin, lucius hold christina on his arm and pointed sword at her. Then he spoil all about rio past in front of the princesses so it will make him angry. But Rio doesnt concern much bout his past being revealed . So lucius tell him that if he win againts rio in this battle, then he will make rio half dead and do something with seria and miharu before kill them in front of him, which make Rio very angry and released tremendous energy/power. Christina and flora screaming, but lucius feels so happy to be able make rio angry. The battle begins. Lucius throw the 2 princess and make sure rio to catch them, and while rio catching the princess lucius make attack on rio, but he successfully evaded it. Then Rio huging christina and flora in his arm to make sure they landed properly, next attack coming, so rio create huge boulder to protect them by using spirit arts. The battle continue with rio carrying to princess and flying to the sky. From Here christina suprised bout rio can be able to do such thing without enchanting magic or using magic tool. Now Rio didnt hesitate to using spirit arts in front of duo princess, he go full out while observing lucius ability. Rio called around 100 ball of light, and he launched all of them to lucius from the sky. The scene just like meteor shower that made christina shocked even more. Lucius evade and also absorbing some of them using his sword and send it back to rio, but he using wind magic to blew them all. The power was so great that make Lucius and rio get blown away. Rio can fly so he didnt take much damage, but for lucius he had crash on the ground.

After that rio made a huge boulder again and covered christina and flora inside of it, while checking flora condition . Meanwhile lucius clicked his tongue. He cant attack them with spatial slash because he couldnt see them (the trick that allow him to attack them from distance at every direction he want because he transmited it by using his demon eye). Then 2nd round begin, lucius switch the sword from right to left arm , and began his attack at them. He continously attacking christina and flora from every direction. Rio had it hard to defend because now the attack has more speed and accuracy. Finally when rio went too far, lucius made attack at christina, but rio barely protected her and his arm got slashed. Lucius feels so happy that finally he be able to hit rio. The attack still continue every time and because the hurt he got from previous attack it make more hard to block it all. Christina crying and begged for rio to not protect them.Her expression just like someone who going to broke. But rio didnt say anything back. Finally, lucius get annoyed because all his attack didnt hit rio. While still defending lucius attack, rio think about what should he do to interfere Lucius spatial attack. Then he come up with an idea, and then began gathering great mass of water. Lucius and christina surprised, while thinking about just how much power that rio still have to make it. Rio formed the water to 8 head serpent. He cover duo princess on its tail. Christina realized that this is same with hiroaki yamatanoorochi, and thinking that maybe this is the true final form of it. Rio then make an attack to lucius, now lucius has disadvantage againts rio dragon water. He cant think anyother way to win againts it except to use duo princess again as hostage. When he see a chance , he make attempt to attack duo princess. But then rio suddenly appeared in front of him and stabbed his heart with his sword

If the author was going to change the LN this much from the WN, she could have made it someone else save them. It is annoying that the MC has to be involved in every situation. There is also the part where he has to be with Miharu and Seria, spreading him to far and not building his relationship with the heroine.

Formerly, it was flora. But now shes gone with christina. The plan's changed with rozalia (3rd princess of galarc kingdom) as his main wife and roana as 2nd wife. But since rozalie's still 13 years old next year, he made a condition that lizelotte being one of his fiances.

About the harem, i dont mind if christina joining rio harem, but before that at least she Must do something BIG enough for rio. Not just regretting about her past with him.Thats not what i thought about Character Development. The main heroine were not being forgotten, it just in the current arc author's focusing on duo princess. Before it was Miharu and Celia. Now that i Hope in the next vol there will be significant Development between Lizelotte and Rio. Since on the last page the author mentioned something about "Graduated from current relationship" or something like that.
