New TV anime 'Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle' announced. Coming 2019, based on episodes 1-3 from the game.

THIS IS IT, THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR

A Real PSO2 Main Story... A Scifi-Fantasy setting with space fleet and the conflict that might lead to the end of universe
The black hair guy is suppose to be the "Player Character"
and this is basically first half of Game story with actual real ending (Episode 1-3 )
so I hope they pour money and got real 24 episode
as some of the later conflict is really long with a lot of cutscene and infodump

Previously Phantasy Star Online 2 the Animation is considered to be Episode 3.5
which is just "Side Story" connect around 3 years time gap between Episode 3 and Episode 4
an event that happen in alternate universe that lead to conflict in game Main story at the same time of the Animation end
So it great seeing them animate the real event
that lead a new naive recruit "Player Character" to be the legendary ace of the "Oracle Space Fleet"

I could explain basic lore more if anyone want to
PSO2 the Animation barely touch anything related to Oracle universe as it happen on alternate "Earth"

What a day.... PSO2 community is very lively and everyone just keep getting surprise aside from this Anime adaptation
we also got something that we would like it to happen in main game too...
SEGA did go all out huh....

Only good thing about previous anime was Seito kaichou and her interactions with MC. Too bad they don't get together (open ending).

Not sure if the relational progress but both of them does appear in several limited event together using their game character.

Bring instructed by Aika to seek [Player Character] Episode Oracle MC, who is renounce for attracting difficult issues and weirdo during their time in the ship
Now they just want to explore the ship more... and we end up as their tour guide

Aika is out of the love triangle at this point as she have soldier mentality and care for those two equally

Currently all other The Animation characters should aware of the situation to some degree and help the fleet out using their game character

Ash ( MC ) VA is better than expected (Deep and Mature),
seem like he will not endup as generic black hair protagonist like the previous one
which is a good thing as he suppose to be a Player Character

They have 3 year worth of game episode with a ton of major event,
so I'm a more worried that they will rush the content to cover entire first arc in 25 episode

As a PSO2 player, I really like the direction of first episode.
Unexpected ton of blood, the sense of emergency and how much Darker threat can be
( which "The Animation failed horribly )

That was certainly bloody. It's the level of valkyria chronicles ova & anime with the blood & death.

The shot on Female Hunter Newman Head yikes.

Wonder will they get revived with a Moon Atomizer.
