If you think Mafuyu and Mashumi are more appealing, I have no problem with that. If you think she is most generic... I would say Fumino is more guilty of that, but sure I wouldn't argue about it.

I will take issue if you insist that Uruka end is less justified then 5T. You rember she is reason why Yuiga is model student too right? And unlike Yotsuba it's not used as random twist that is supposed somewhat make up for hundred chapters of missed character development, but as actual plot point set early in story, never forgotten ever since and consistently used develop both Yuiga and Uruka.

Sen no Sukiru o Motsu Otoko - Real heroine is Clara who eventually win, but MC is first summoned by Ria. With Clara not appearing until chapter 5 of novel (chapter 3 of manga).

The decision on who's the main heroine should be taken within the first few chapters / episodes / volumes

If you read a series to near complete, the true heroine will be revealed so it beats the purpose
This is the cause of the squabbles surrounding Bokuben
If you only read early chapters or even the first half, Fumino feels special like the main heroine
But later Uruka became more special and people be like, Uruka was the main heroine from the start! There were hints from the beginning!

Either way, you can always regroup this list of non main girl winning into certain tags like

- The series has clear singular main girl
- The series has doesn't have clear singular main girl
- The series has a decoy first girl which only serve as a "1st volume cover girl"

also can be based on

- The author always wanted his specific girl won from the start, despite the popularity (ex : Bokuben)
- The author changed the winning girl from the original candidate because of popularity (ex : Ookami)
- The author doesn't has specific winner in mind, but develop it midway (ex : TWGOK)

It should help people to find the series based on what type of winning girl qualify they wanted. Because like personally, Fukashigi Philia and Bokuben are the likes of what I should avoid the most.

Can't vouch for it but I genuinely hope it's true because she is best girl. Anyway novel itself is already completed according to NU.
