I can't remember much on what happen back then when they meet. I just remember its being hectic with the enemies closing in. I remember van coming through the rescue in the bizzare/lovecraftian way. after that, I also remember going take out for pizza but not about the talk. Sorry but I remember van giving the braver, or whatever his name is, the one who looks like him a transforming stick that made him transform into kamen rider or power ranger or something along those lines to battle avalon.

The current arc is nice with Heinz and co, with Van and co, VS the resurrected Guradinis or whatever his name is, the demon king. Though its not co-op battle. Its more on Heinz trying to kill the demon king and Van launching a beam canon to kill Heinz and the demon king. cheap shots at best.

guradinis had taken over Avalon when his being beaten by van and Heinz.

the current arc is about Avalon rise in power.

van had warned Heinz about Avalon. not all but warned of someone using the devil kings fragments and its an enemy that's been blessed by the god.

during the arc when van had search everywhere and has cornered the possible location of his hiding place, van made a move. the hiding place is the castle of obrahum? or whatever the name of that place. van sends familiars all over the place until he had mapped the castle with 1 remaining blank on the map. van teleported into it but it's a dungeon created by Avalon and yes avalon can create dugeon too and control it.

Avalon as piece of the soul of the demon king. he has the instinct of the demon king. and with the part of the soul meld into his, he almost the same power as the demon king. he can freely use the demon king fragments, his power over dungeon and monster making.

Avalon created a dungeon to trapped van inside when he teleported in but it didn't work. van still escaped and faced Avalon.

when Avalon was losing, he heared gudarinis saying to let go and fight in instinct. which he did but it ended up as him being taken over by the instinct of demon king which cause for the demon king to start ressurect. gudarinis had also killed Edgar and has his souls eatten or absorb.

right now, gudarinis had soul fragment of edgar which made him use status too.

-The Demon King was supposed to only destroy souls and nothing else.
-The fragments that Van had were already assimilated and are part of him.

The soul that he reclaimed is merged with the soul of Edgar and Avalon. The one who made the soul is Dumbcorte. Gudarinis can't merge or control souls but just destroy it.

When Gudarinis merge/reclaimed his soul from Edgar, he had also effectively become part of the level up system and because of it, he can use the system to further power up himself. he had already learned all the skills of Edgar, minus the ones that has been blessed by gods or in the needs of gods assistance. Also Gudarinis can also use death magic because of Avalon's soul being merge to him. Avalon tried to fight it through to become the one who is in control but its a losing battle since he activated the demon kings instinct. Avalon is still there but his just a prisoner while I don't know about Edgar's soul. Probably totally consumed.

As far as the current battle goes. Its a draw. Gudarinis can use death magic and skills. He is effectively fighting against Heinz and his party with Bellwood descent, Van had also his mother beside him with Vida descent, with also his other party members, like Pauvina and that wyvern evil dragon god (can't remember its name) Ira is also there and others are supporting but not everyone can't help because Gudarinis had keep on summoning monsters all over and is flooding the city. Other troops of Van are either protecting civilians or fighting the monsters.

But I think its only a matter of time. Even if Gudarinis can summon monsters, its still a fast summon and its just being fodder and delaying tactics. If things won't change, I think he would either lose or retreat. He just resurrected and is still in the middle of powering up. Heck in the middle of fight, he is getting lots of resistance skills from what Van keep on hitting him. Even if he is continuing getting stronger, he lacks in numbers and Van had lots of them.

If his cornered, he will probably retreat and reorganize.

The thing that I'm eagerly waiting for is the pov of the gods. Its not been shown yet on what Alda's reaction towards current event. I'm sure he is furious with what DUMBcorte did.

what is the last arc that you've read? I don't remember much on what I read in the pass because I have read a lot. I'll try to give a small summary if you can tell what you've last remember.

This is just general summary from what I remember and I might be wrong but here's the general events.

Spoiler for vol 10 to 11:

vol 10 = duke of alchem

there are 2 main battle during this arc but first, the entry to the city of moksi.
I don't remember the reason but I don't remember Van registering as an adventurer here. There is more reason there but its more on political side if I remember it right. So first he register to merchant guild as his entry to the city. His first business is simple BBQ stand if I remember it right. using rank 2-3? monster meat for meat skewers. The merchants guild doesn't like him which is why they placed him to the most poor area. the red light district where his customers can't barely buy food. But using skills and magic, plus monster meat. he manage to lower the price until the poors manage to buy it. others doesn't like his progress which why thugs are being sent but Van already sent his underlings to take control of the underworld part of the city. as additional guards, Van also brings the zombies. To make the zombies enter, he also register to tamers guild. under tamers guild he also train monster, monster dogs and mouse for beginners and when his recognize, he bring in the zombies. With the zombies, looking closely to humans, with tan skin, and good looks, they manage to get more customers. It doesn't help that his mother is also there to gather more. They also put a logo of Vida on their stand which cause frictions to the church and such but I don't remember much of it, they just ignore it if I remember it right, well its not that important. Kanako and her train idols are also there as waitress first then start showing performance. This is her start as an idol career outside of the mountain range.

Now for the major battle. There is a reason on why Van is here, outside of the mountain range and its to fish out the enemies. The first enemy of the arc is the last vampire of the vampire trio. Now for how they manage to fish out this guy, it started with an orphanage. They started to befriend the orphanage in the area and that orphanage is under care of that vampire. The vampire uses the children to restrain Van and it also didn't help that the demon king's shadow is immaterial. Hard to hit. So Van blow up the roof of the orphanage or church. I remember it being the church where they fought. Well the Vampire told Van insane for blowing the roof up. It will cause a scene and people will gather which is more hostage for him but when they go outside, the outside of the church is already in different dimension. Inside a dungeon which spelled doomed for the Vampire. Van uses his new spirit summons that has element of Light. Van proceed to burn the Vampire but the real backer of the vampire shows up. The demon god that the vampire worships. But well, he also didn't escape and become food for Van.
That ended the first major battle in this arc.

The children of the orphanage are the children that the vampire gather to either become food or tools. Van had spread out and taker over the possession of that vampire. with this, Van had beaten the 3 vampires and their demon god. He also had taken over the underground association of those old vampires.

Well back to selling BBQ skewers that become popular enough to threaten the merchants guild. More minor political problem there but I don't remember much.
Kanako and the others also starts a stage for performance that uses Van produced materials or as Van the producer and Kanako the idol. This become added benefit. Anyone who listen to Kanako and the others song become easier for Van to Guide.
Another character was also introduced, a retired adventurer. s/he retired because he loose limbs. I don't remember if its really retired or just take low level quest but Van help her. Van gave her? (I don't remember the gender or much about her but I'll assume as her) prosthetics as replacement and train her to become stronger. She become follower. Another group introduced is the offsprings of the rape victims of the minotaur that Randolph dispatch. They become hybrid like Pauvina. Hybrid of Minotaur and Human. Van takes care of them too.

Another major battle is against the war God Fiton and Murasaki and 2 tagalongs with him. Fiton had taken over one of the bodies of the reincarnations. He had also contact with Murasaki's group.

Fiton had send an army to attack the city of moksi. Van's group had taken the battle outside of the city with Van fighting the reincarnation that Fiton possessed. I remember he uses lightning as attack. Murasaki's group is at first just observing the battle but when Fiton was manage to push Van, they also joined to help Fiton. But that is a trap.
After joining the battle, Van uses his new spirit summon that has control over Space. He enclosed the space where Fiton and Mursaki's group. First death is one of murasaki's group that can turn into Gas material that uses as observer and spy. Van's method of attack is turning his blood into bateria size demon familiar. The size is at size of cellular level demon clone of van that invades the enemies inside out and kills them. Its not fast death for these fools.

The army that Fiton bring was also stop by Van's underlings. This is also the first time that the demon familiar decent was used. its counterpart to the god's familiar descent and Van is still denying his turning into God.

While Van is fighting outside of the city, Kanako, Van's mom, Zadiris and the other's are fighting at the gate and near the city, surrounding it while protecting the city and because of that, the people saw them protecting them. They become heroes, Especially Van's Mom Darcia and Kanako's idol group.

With how they are treated as heroes, the Duke of the land Invited them to visit.

That is all for Lambda and the bits of Origin is just showing Mei's growth and Avalon's observation.

Vol 11 = Duke of Alchem again

Now, with the invitation of the duke. Van's crew move to the capital of Alchem. They made a stand at the park? or central of the city and do business there, there were frictions with other merchants but I think this is not that major compare to merchant's guild because its more of friendly competition in merchant stands that is near with each other. I remember Van making foods that complements the near stand and Kanako's idol group making a stage and performing. It become an attraction that increase sales and starts a merchant alliance? with the people around.

ah, btw the red light district or the poor area district in moksi is under Van's total control.

The plot of the story here is with the Duke inviting Darcia, I don't remember much but when they visit his house, an enemy spy? or underground agent of an evil god attacks them. the enemy manage to steal Van's skill and proceed to escape. The chase started and ended with a temple deep in the mountain. I don't remember much but its temple of Alda? or Vita? but maybe Alda but the important part is that the god worship there is fake. it's the evil god that is resting and recovering from the war. The agent that stole Van's skill is this underling. The battle starts again with the evil god reviving and Van having disadvantage with his skills stolen. Van starts using elementary skills again of death magic, spirit magic and non-element magic. its slow but Van manage to level it fast but not fast enough, he just skips and copy from his memory his later skills. The battle continuous and it cause a commotion that was seen from the city below the mountain. The battle continues but Van had manage to beat the evil god but it cause problems to the people. The duke that saw the battle believe that making an enemy of Van is suicidal had decided to make an allegiance with Van. He also plans a play that makes the people of Alchem to accept them. Since, the people must not know that the god they worship is an evil God. They Duke plan a giant monster battle play. Van made a golem? and make a evil god golem to show up too. Its large like a kaijuu battle. The spectacle was shown with Darcia being representative of Vida being the hero that vanquish the evil God. With this play, Van and Darcia was accepted by the common people of Alchem. Especially Darcia as hero. Van's cooperation was kept secret. After the big play, Van had invited the duke and his group to the empire. After seeing the empire of Van, the duke had cemented his decision that he was right. thus, Alchem and Van's empire made an alliance.

after killing the evil god. The skills in lambda makes thing easy. van realize it when he looses them. he can still do it but with skill, it become more fast and efficient. everything is automated. some skills are exclusive like the demon king because, if the enemy doesn't have the parts, it can't be used. demon king skill is how to manipulate the demon king fragments. death magic is mana intensive. non elemental is something everyone in lamda can use but also mana intensive for the upper level ones. the spirit magic is also available in lamda but unless you can talk to ghost or spirits, you can only use it for ordinary means, unlike on what van can do with it.

the stolen skills are more of a hassle than a problem when van still beaten the evil god.

more major summary and not so much details for it because I remember those chapters being spoiled by either me or someone else.

Spoiler for vol 12 devil's continent:

vol 12 is the journey to devils' continent or the battlefield or the territory of the past demon king, gudarinis. Van had received an oracle or someone, not sure because I didn't reread it but just try to remember it. an oracle to help escape or asking for help. its pertaining on one of the great gods, pelia? not sure on her name. not important enough for me to remember but because of that, Van and the others begun the voyage to the island. the island itself is impossible to be live in. monsters are at least rank 10+ with rank 13 to 15 being average. I'm not sure but those are the ones who survived because during the war, its not rare to see rank 20? around that time(not sure on this one) but the point is the island is inhabitable and can't be access. the climate is worse and they can't land. the island is also closely being watched by Alda and gods are being positions as guards there. With it being cemetery for gods and imprisonment for great gods that falls during the war. Gods won't die from fatal injury but will just enter dormant state. to kill them, one needs to skill to kill it like Gudarinis and Van, which made them dangerous and why Alda is wary of Van.

the story start with them trying to enter the territory to see who is asking for help but when they get there, there are army of gods waiting for them, it may look like a trap but the subordinate gods are just guarding the resting place of the great gods. Van and the others fought and they were beginning to be overwhelmed which made them retreat. When they tried to retreat they were followed and fired on and shoot down to the waters, in the waters they move into underground place to hide and was guided by mermaid? monster to inner sanctum. The inner sanctum is the place where survivors of Vida's people live. They lived there hidden from Alda's eyes and even if Alda knew, they can't enter because of the natural defense of the place.

Van and the others communicate and Kanako and the others begun to concert while Van meets with the tribe that lives there. During the exploration of the underground cities, Van met the remains of the original dragon or the dragon emperor god marduk. Van retrieve some bones of marduk to bury and gift to Tiamat (which is a bad decision)

After meeting with the tribes, the plan was planned on how to get to the resting place of the great gods with the Army of gods protecting it.

The answer to that is:

Van first send Quatro, the flying undead ship of Van and made copy of the ship to hide the real ship. They begun attacking the gods and when they are being overwhelmed by the gods. Van made the ship explode of blood. Exploding ships. The blood of Van is not normal blood but micro level familiar/copy of Van. Its deadly. With this method, Van is trying to get the number of the guards of Pelia Down.

The assaults done isn't just one and its not the same as always, sometimes its empty exploding ships and sometimes they man it with a hidden army to make the opponents think twice before proceeding.

Van continues this to some extent until the gods are dwindling in numbers.

The Gods in retaliations ask for reinforcements but it will take time. Its because Gods can't materialize in mortal realm without preparation. They can't exist without special environment which takes time to do so.

Which made the Gods gather the monster on the surface of devil's continent as army to oppose Van.

During the assaults Van keep on coming back and forth in Moski and Achem in Orbaun Kingdom to make appearance and to hide on when he will show up. It's to confuse the enemy.

During the back and forth, he also visited Tiamat to give Marduk's bones which Tiamat received but ask Van for blood. Van gave because its nothing really and Tiamat retrieve the bones, Van's blood which is bad move. With it, She become pregnant -_-

Tiamat used Van's blood and remains of Marduk as means to become pregnant and gave birth to the first prince of the empire, Bakunawa.

With the gods dwindling in numbers, Van made a moved to attack in full force with an army in his side, while the gods had hordes of monsters in their command but thanks to Bakunawa, the monsters are useless and most turn into food.

Bakunawa can suck all enemy around him and eat it.

The battle commence with the monsters dwindling in numbers but the gods reinforcement has come and one special god has the ability to make a field that made the gods to move a lot easier, with that god deployed, more gods had come.

during this fight, Van has also shown the result of his muscle training. I feel that it's the same as gear 3rd of Luffy but not sure, he goes and brawl with gods. He also reveals his Staff. The staff is made of gods remains materials. The battle is all out with van's army vs the gods.

During the battle above ground, another Van/copy of Van remains underground and DIG.

Van made tunnels using the underground area to tunnel through the gods resting place.

While the gods army are busy repelling Van and his army above ground, Van had busy himself to invade the resting place of the gods, using the tunnels.

The remaining sub gods that guards the resting place of the gods are minimal and useless to defend against Van. Van had succeed and freed Pelia? but not only pelia but also Botin. Botin is the major target of the rescue operation because of her role.

I can't remember on what God she is but she balance out Vida and Alda.

The battle is as good as Van's won when the great gods made an appearance and had support Vida and Van. Which cause an uproar on the Alda's side of Gods.

But Botin is different. While Botin didn't like Alda for what he did and support Vida, she can't fully support Vida because she is reckless and she doesn't support more bloodshed or deaths. She doesn't want senseless deaths in battlefield.

The great gods are necessary because they are the pillars of the world. if they die, the world is destroyed and if Vida and Alda continues, one of them will die and that will cause the destruction of the world. Which is why Botin doesn't fully support Vida and stay neutral.

The same for Gods or sub gods. They aren't the central pillar but they helped in maintaining the world. senseless slaughter of them will cause more problem in the future.

Botin also commands the gods that are currently fighting that those who surrender will be spare and those who continue to fight will die.

The arc ended with Van's victory and had great god as a neutral ally.

Spoiler for vol 13 Origins:

This arc centers on Origins and Mei. Mei daughter of braver and another death magic user.
Avalon with proper preparations and observations, finally decided to make a move.
Avalon send another reincarnator to abduct Mei with her parents away, but Van is there to protect her and her brother. Van made a short meal of the reincarnator which was captured in camera. This alert Avalon cause him to scramble more and hasten his plans.

he keeps saying that he understands that Vandalieu is not evil, but he treats the progonist as if he were an evil to be prevented at all costs, he does not think about the consequences of his actions, it is irritating.
