This ain't the same. Those literally have the actual full name lol. Terrible idea? Ok.. I see you prefer things simple or traditional, hence you don't get the creativity behiind it fully.

Putting a last name does not change the fact that theyre named after items. Literally no different than people named Porsche or Mercedes. If creativity is taking the name of something that already exists and giving to to a person then i guess you can say i dont have creativity.

There is a difference though with how it's done. They have the actual names, I made names from the word itself. Huge difference. I have not used the actual word Durandal as a name. I used the word to make original names.

Umm... Last time I checked, those cars were named after people. Those names predates the car brands by several hundred years.

Porsche is of German origin while Mercedes is spanish origin.

Besides, when the vast majority of names (in general) are named after words or phrases in one or more languages, can you really say names are that creative at all?

@saucerKing and so do I? Doesnt mean I dont dislike the idea of people naming their children after material goods. If you take offense to an example thats all on you.

it was a joke dude, still like omegaweapon said mercedes cars are named after a person named mercedes, not the other way around. you are not naming your children after material goods since the name existed before the cars were ever invented

I know theyre named after a person lol. That person got famous for making said Item and attaching their name to the brand. People took notice to the brand then started naming their kids that. If it wasnt for the brand the name wouldnt be as prevalent. Then again its going to depend on nationality too. As in the US they're going to think of the brand instead of lets say spanish Princess Maria Mercedes.

@OmegaWeaponZ yeah most names arent creative I was just taking a jab because he said I didnt get the creativity behind his naming.

'Creative names' I take it for you are only original names not derived from any word. On the spot, made up names like Vigojigo or something.

Im fine for any names not based on items. Ive known to many people who name their kids after items. Theres just no appeal to me. Though thats just my opinion. If you like them you like them not trying to make you mad or anything.

Ah I see. I half-and-half with naming: either coming up with on the spot names or creating names via derivative.
@Sanae What about Jigovigo?
