I can imagine there will be a ton of complaints about things taking too long, be it mobs respawning, or gold accumulation for buying your mount at 40 (not even the struggle for that epic mount at 60).
Plus tagging mobs has changed a lot since even Wrath, much less Vanilla. I started in the middle of TBC and like the third reason my main was a Warlock was that I got thr riding skills for free and just had to pay a gold for the spell to summon my Felstead. The Dreadstead took longer because it took time to find someone that wanteed to run Scholo and Dire Maul. But I got both done before they changed the requirements in patch 2.4.3. Than I got to farm for gold for the epic flying skill and engineering mount (I got flying and the regular flying machine the same night I got the Dreadstead, it took that long to find a willing party).

Well, I've somehow managed to scrap together/justify a sub cost for (Classic) WoW.
If anyone else ends up playing and wants to find a home (guild) let me know via PM. The intention is that (eventually) I'll put together a guild ○ 1 raid per week ~ 7pm - 10pm AEST (to also cater for Kiwi's 9pm - 12pm) ○ Saturday raid ○ No requirements on specs, consumable usage (though I do expect that you won't stand in fire unless that's literally the plan the raid is taking) ○ If we (group collective) wipe 4 times in a row against the same boss we're done for the week (I'm not going to make you smash your head against a wall). Whether you rock up every week or once a year, the goal is to create a social gathering place (hang-out) where you'll have a reasonable opportunity to see/participate in content without being demanding.

Finally hit the 70 cap on my Azerite neck on my mage main. Ilvl 442 after filling my last week slot with an upgrade. Aqua Force achieve/powers done tomorrow. Gold influx now that AP on map and table is mainly gold instead is sweet.
That cinematic really hit the mark...regardless of what side/race you are, Saurfang was the way. Calia's model was well done given the circumstances. One wonders what spanner in the works Tyrande is about to throw, let alone Sylvanas. As for Classic, I did it all back in 2005. Nothing worth doing for me.

Well, Shadowlands then.
"There must always be a Lich King." (lol?) Level squish (we kind of knew it was going to happen eventually). Potential multi-faction system (up from two), though its likely only cosmetic and to make you run multiple alts to get the full story/perks. And what the hell is your end game Sylvanas? You do have a plan....right? Is this setting us up for a confrontation with the Naaru and the Light after we are say "tainted" by the Shadowlands?

Think I am starting to see why every new undead suddenly is pro Sylvanas. She killing them and sending them straight to the maw and not giving them the chance at one of the better covenants. Then pulling them back after they suffer to show them what “death” is like. They have no choice out of fear of going back. Never mind that it is just staged by Sylvanas to be that way.

Also the currect (or perhaps recently ex-) Lich King is raising an army of heroes to fight for us...so all races can be Death Knights going forward with the new lore.
I will assume some massive leveling change on par with CATA revamp will be someplace in there to fit the 1-50 bracket since the new content will be 51-60.

Justice is served.
But, there would be a Lot of wounded souls around. Especially High Elf and Human souls. And Sylvanas would be a wounded soul that repeatedly escaped (or was denied leave the first time).

Well, I have been playing the Shadowlands beta...
And it has me 98% convinced to quit. Bastion is the most boring, one-tone zone I have ever played in any point of WoW's existence. AL vid has you hyped? Pity that you see anout 15 seconds of Uther and 5 seconds of Davos through the whole zone. The characters you are stuck with instead are allowed to do nothing. That looping string piece is eventually maddening. Maldraxxus is a decent zone. Its story gets to the point and Draka is a constant. The vid was actually representative. However, the zone is just grey everywhere and fight after fight. Also, having the start to Ardenweald be inaccessable for weeks and outside a fair level range when ALL of Maldraxxus was green xp was a joke. Ardenweald starts off so juvenile and diabetic. It gradually gets better. Aside from quests which either grant no quest credit or escorts don't work and have to be clicked 30 times in 1 minute. Again there is potential but so far, no one to bond with since everyone leaves within 5 quests. That guy from its AL vid only appeared for 5 seconds. Now that this zone is playable....finally...maybe something decent will happen. It badly needs music added given how eerie the ambient sound is here. Revendreth. A clear clone of Darkest Dungeon - Crimson Court. I'll give it a look once Ardenweald is done. But I don't expect much aside from ironic classism and Garrosh gachi torture. Oribos is the worst main city hub I've ever seen. Bland, soulless, forced to be dismounted in half of it. Long flights to get to a zone. The Maw. Meh. Torghast. Still locked for weeks now. Conduits. Still broken. Covenant balance? Most classes only have one viable choice. Mythic+ loot nerfed. PvP loot ruined and stats are bound to covenants. Covenant campaigns being about characters that don't make sense. Especially Ardenweald... Once I get to 400 mounts in live (at 388) and see the rest of the zones in SL beta, I'm virtually certain I'm done for good. I have never felt remotely near this uninterested by a new expansion. They ditched BfA early to make this....unforgivable. Edit: Ardenweald ended up being a good zone. And now I'm stuck AGAIN. Because the final quest of Ardenweald is unobtainable for anyone and has been for at least 3 weeks, according to many beta threads....so I can't even check out Revendreth/see the Ardenweald finale. 5 weeks to go and they think the game will be ready....*cough*

For the record, eventually Ardenweald coild be finished but they denied seeing the climax so...sigh.
And then there was Revendreth....this is an asset flip of Eastern Plaguelands that was given a different colour. With certainTirisgarde sound areas near Boralus thrown in too. Venthyr were supposed to be the covenant all the 'with it' people were going to pick. I thoughy Bastion's insipid, one-tone story couldn't be sunk below. Revendreth did that. The laziest, emptiest zone ever. So after that, I ground out 400 mounts, the final one being the Stormsong Valley bee mount. And after that, I've been able to barely play. I won't play SL. All the better talent has gone to form their own companies. Microtransaction mounts and longer timegates are everywhere. But the true clincher was every zone being a flop. Blizzard is no more. And I can live with that. I'm very slowly doing the new form of levelling. It's definitely faster and being able to choose one specific expansion to level in is welcome. But with that comes the realisation that anything other than SL is way more fun. And that can only go so far.
