I don't know what kind of ending the LN will have , but even with all the big differences in plot between the LN and WN the way Satou looks at the girls as just kids to be protected by him is the same, at least by now. The only one who ¡s seen as a proper adult is Hikaru but she's nothing more than just a buddy otherworlder. Hikaru herself is quite comfortable at the moment on the deeps of the friendzone because in the LN Satou is convinced that Hikaru is a Hikaru that comes from some other parallel world instead of his childhood friend and Hikaru thinks the same too, so their relationship right now is of Satou helping Hikaru to meet again with the Suzuki Ichirou from her world.

The LN and WN have different stories, I would say the LN is 90% new content and 10% things recicled from the WN, and the recicled thins weren't used as is either, they were modified too, I can't think of a single scene of the LN that has the same dialogues that the WN except Liza's, Pochi's, Tama's, Arisa's and Lulu's first scenes in volumes 1 and 2, until volume 15 an without taking into account the volumes 3 and 9, that are both 100% new content, Satou has been visiting the same cities and places that in the WN and in the same order, but just that, in the LN everything that happens in every place Satou goes to and the things that happen on his way between the stops of his travel is completely different, the fights and the way he meets every heroine are specially changed.
