I'll say read the final chapter for that question. Hidaki and ■■■■'s true feelings are like the real meat of the chapter and I dare not spoil it.

But the true heroine is always Lastiara, and Kanami's broken feelings towards her is what lead to the real post game.

Who knows, perhaps less risky to publish because fewer volumes ? But it is an isekai, usually, it's a free pass.

At least, the manga is a correct adaptation, and it gives me some hope for the novel.

Why would you even want the novel translated officially? The use of ruby is so important that the English version would miss a lot of stuff anyway.

The manga will too, though to a lower extent.

Because I don't speak japanese and I will miss less of stuff with a bad English translation than using google translate.

No, they couldn't. Because the norms of official localization don't allow that.

I'm not bashing official TLs, it's just a difference between languages. And here it just so happens that this novel uses ruby for more than being cool, it's important to the story. Nothing we can do about that.

All in all, it's an amazing story with the best use of an isekai setting I ever read.

Also, while I find the story amazing, I don't really know how to feel about what happens starting arc 8. It's awesome, but I guess I'm the kind of guy who

wants the MC, in this case Kanami, to be the one to bring an end to everything and save the day. I like Ryner, but still salty Hitaki "died" and was saved by Tiara, and that Ryner becomes the "protagonist" in the end.
