Wasn't it because of Yuuki's manipulation that Hinata didn't even try to have a proper talk with Rimuru during their first meeting.

The first paragraph is true, but only in terms of feeding false information as far as the official canon is concerned. The second paragraph is wrong, or rather it's only in the WN. This among other reasons is why you should read the Light Novel and forget about the Web Novel.

Yuuki isn't even the cringe main antagonist anymore. Velda? Who is Velda? Velda was deleted from the franchise. Either doesn't exist or existed for an entirety of 20 seconds before being used as fuel for evolving Greed into Mammon.

I read both web novel and light novel and boy, they are very different. In web novel Yuuki manipulated both Hinata and put a curse in Chloe while in Light novel, didn't, heck he didn't even recognize Chloe. And light novel Yuuki was far more tamed compared to web novel, like they are totally different person.

It make sense since in Hinata eye... Yuuki can be trust to certain degree compare to random Slime
and Yuuki himself is very good at hiding his true intention

Yuuki was indeed the one who leaked the info but Hinata doesn't know that. The ones who gave her the intel was Damrada and Cerberus who Hinata always refers to as "The Eastern Merchants".
