I very much doubt that. She is supposed to be super hot, and her age isn't a problem in Japan. If anything, her being 16 makes her a prime target.

I doubt it if only because I don't know if Akasaka wants to put sex in his stories. He is against fanservice in general, so I think he would steer clear of those kinds of scenarios.

If he wanted to go there then he would have shown either Ai hooking up or even Kana doing it since she's supposed to have been around and willing to do anything to stay relevant.

I was talking more about a real world scenario. A girl like Ruby is perfect "prey". In this manga, I do agree Aka will steer clear from the darkest side of the industry.

Urushibara wants people who are already somewhat famous, not just so he can get laid.
It just so happens that the people who are famous in cosplay are the ones who do lewd content.

Not like Yoshizumi has a choice anyway. Most of the internet cosplayers the he contacted refused.

Contrary to what the Urushibara thinks, most of the lewd Japanese content creators who make a living through platforms like Fantia or FC2 hide their face and work under an alias for privacy, so even if they're willing to strip on camera, showing their face on mainstream TV is an entirely different story.
The people that the director want are not the same as professional gravure models.

Also most likely the director doesn't actually know any of them in particular. He just wants a pretty face that already has a reputation. Ruby happens to fit that bill.

The first one *could* apply to porn, but it is not explicitly stated anywhere, and there's plenty of content creators who do softcore but censor the naughty bits. The picture is a direct reference to Fantia anyway, so you can go there and see plenty of real life examples where they never do any hardcore sex or masturbation.

Again, he's not trying to get the hardcore, he wants attractive people who are already successful enough in their own niche circles.

To be clear, her age is still a problem in Japan. It's true that 13 is the age of consent in Japan, but there are still regulations that make it illegal to have sex with a minor.

Meanwhile, Ruby isn't planning on cosplaying and is trying to convince her gravure idol friend to do it. Ruby blatantly lies to her face to get her to do what she wants, and gravure idol picked up on it.

And there is another development in this chapter: assistant-kun actually has a very cute little sister into cosplay who also happens to be vTuber, so he tries to get her to appear too.

The raws say:

(I know)
アクアくんがかなちゃんに惹かれる事
(about how Aqua-kun is attracted to Kana-chan)

I feel like "smitten" implies a deeper attachment than the original Japanese does.
Hikareru 惹かれる just means you have a crush/attracted to someone.

I suppose for shipping purposes Kana still has a leg up over Akane anyway, but the nuance is a little different from "love". If anything, Aqua is going out of his way to avoid falling love with Kana for the time being.

It makes the Akanebros victory bitter because she knows she doesn't fully have his heart. And with all these mentions about people getting killed and stabbed by Kana, his brother, and Akane, I'm seriously thinking the love triangles here are going to be far more violent than Kaguya.

How is this violent? Akane is fully aware of Aqua's feelings towards Kana and respects him despite that because he treats her with respect.

A relationship is more than just feelings. This is how adults work. Behavior and actions are not always based on emotion alone.

If Aqua dates another girl while still in a relationship with Akane, I think it's fair for Akane to get upset. He should have the decency to break up with Akane before he decides to pursue Kana or other girls.
The concern is actions, not just emotions.

Going to be, as in the future. There's been massive foreshadowing about how something happens in the future that causes Aqua to go without loving anyone in the future or how Kana mentions needing to apologize after bringing up someone getting stabbed, or how Himekawa mentioned that if Aqua kept playing around he was going to end up getting stabbed like their father,

Plus, we've already seen Akane state she'd help Aqua when it comes to murder and in this chapter she mentions she'd kill him if he cheated.

Or the much, much simpler explanation was that in the flashforward Kana was talking about how Ai was stabbed.

I think Kana learning about the trauma that still influences Aqua to this day (and the reason why he's avoiding Kana now) is more likely than somehow thinking that Akane will stab Aqua. Occam's Razor applies.

Even if for argument's sake we do say that Aqua gets stabbed sometime in the future, he is not that emotionally attached to Akane by everyone's admission.
Kana was apologizing for saying something inconsiderate that might trigger Aqua. The stabbing incident that Aqua still cares about the most is Hoshino Ai's murder.
