A good example of this today would be cubic zirconia, which is a popular diamond simulant. A 1 carat CZ will net you about 10 dollars, while a 1 carat diamond 10 grand, and to the untrained eye they look similar in appearance. And, there's nothing particularly underhanded about creating simulants unless you're trying to pass them off as the real thing.

Rishe always keeps herself busy! Whether it's trying to find a way to avoid getting noticed by Lawvine or helping cure a prince of his medical issues, she keeps her nose to the grindstone (or garden!), though now she also has to deal with the return of her professor from her 3rd Loop into her current life, Professor Michel (voiced by Daisuke Ono) .
In her 3rd Loop Rishe was his student (and had a bob cut!) and Professor Michel was the type who pursued his passions while also being open and honest with those he took in as his charges, and Rishe learned a lot from him. So it's no wonder she's more than happy to renew their relationship once she catches his eye again . Of course it seems like while Professor Michel means well...he also just loves experimenting and seeing peoples' reactions, like force-feeding Kyle Rishe's less than tasty medicine. Sure it's for the purpose of him getting better, but Michel seemed a little too keen on Kyle's disgusted reaction . Look at Arnold there to personally escort his wife! Even moreso when he gives her his pocket watch! Arnold is a lot of things, but he's definitely not dismissive of new ideas, which might be all that a certain alchemist who needs someone open to a unique use of their concoction might need . Look at Rishe going full wife mode teasing Arnold about how little he's enjoying the party! I also love how she's looking forward to her wedding ring ! Rishe finally mentions the 5th Loop! Which somehow gave her the ability to sense and pinpoint people like she's in an Assassin's Creed game . So Rishe not only managed to talk a very distinguishing proprietress into giving her a jewel for her ring but she also has the distinction of being the first person Arnold has ever bought jewelry for ! Prince Kyle didn't just visiting Galkhein for the sake of congratulating Arnold on his engagement...he's there because Coyolles needs military support and they're running low on resources, leaving them open to attack (not knowing that in five years time Galkhein is the one that attacks them). But that means he has basically nothing to negotiate it with outside his ideals, and Arnold won't humor that. He plays the tyrant, but that might just be because Kyle needs to learn and realize something he can bring to the table so they can negotiate on equal standing, and it might be up to Rishe to figure that out to change this timeline for the better .

i'm curious about that coumpound they were refering to. at first since he mentioned human to test it i was thinking of some sort of streagth enhancing drugs but since they insisted on the fast he is not an herbalist that seem less plausible.
i think we can safely asume it was military oriented but deemed unethical to be used. since he is an alchemist i'm leaning towards something like napalm that could be view as an evil coumpoud. but now i hope we wont see arnold throwing napalm at peoples to make him seem even more evil than everyone already think he is |

Kyle may have struck out with Arnold, but Michel finding out how much of a shrewd and powerful man Arnold is turns out to exactly be what Michel is looking for .
"Lucius" is practicing his sword swings and has a lot on his mind...but it offers an opportunity to connect with Lawvine as they reflect on the cost of war and being true to oneself no matter what. Which means Rishe isn't going to give up on trying to avoid war, help Coyolles, and save Arnold in the process ! And speaking of Arnold...Rishe is busted! And still trying to maintain her cover even after being obviously caught, though Arnold pulling a kabedon move and having his ways with her cheek makes her give in (especially before someone catches them and thinks this is a BL anime). But no surprise Arnold supports her so long as she takes care of her health and doesn't get caught by anyone else, though no one sees through her like he does . Arnold believes that conquering is a "cruel mercy" that his kingdom basically runs on, but is that because of how he was raised? It also seems like ultimately every kingdom they've engaged in war with, and ended with the deaths of the royal families, have benefited the common people of said kingdom...maybe that's what Arnold has always been after ? Rishe has known Kyle in three Loops, and his sincerity and humility have struck her each time and made her more and more committed to being able to help him . Theodore has an extensive information network! All the better to keep tabs on his family and keep them safe! But also all the better for Rishe to make good use of ! I think I have an idea of what this "black powder" is, especially when we see it's destructive force, and I can understand why Rishe doesn't want it anywhere near Arnold's interest. Especially because it's what separated her and Michel in her 3rd Loop because she just couldn't accept it. But Michel believes that something that is created must fulfill their function, even if it's a cruel and violent one . And that's something that's been drilled into him when he was a child, where his alchemist father blamed him for his mothers' death and made him think that was all he was capable of doing...throwing himself into research and coming up with numerous killing inventions and constantly losing everything but his research and knowledge to the ravages of war. It's really all he knows...and with that perspective he seems to have developed something with an incredibly explosive force . So Rishe not only has to find something Coyolles can bring to the table to interest Galkhein but also manage her professor before he sells the idea of the black powder to Arnold...or maybe somehow find a way to use it in a non-destructive manner? No pressure .

Kinda silly in my opinion. To make use of gunpowder would require mass production which means the other countries would easily steal the method (it's a simple recipe). Gunpowder itself isn't a large enough invention to change the tides of war by itself.

Michel is clearly insane. The simplest wayt o solve the problem would be to kill him, but Rishe is surely going to search for another way.
I don't think it's just gunpowder. His bomb seemed to do damage close to a modern one. Arnold could easily raze countries to the ground if he could secure that.

One thing I thought when watching episode 10 of this show is that Arnold said in a previous episode that Rishe has the ability to make anyone feel valued. This may or may not be the solution to the dilemma with Michel that might ruin Rishe’s main goal of stopping the war. She probably needs to make Michel feel he has worth outside of being a harbinger of death.

Technically, almost nothing in the title is accurate aside from 7th time loop. She is not a villainess. She is not married to her worst enemy. And as you said, she is not living a carefree life. The title is mostly used to draw people to the work.

Rishe has a lot on her plate...working to make negotiatons happen between Galkhein and Coyolles, get control of the situation with Michel, and a whole bunch of other stuff...but at least she still has the time to enjoy a scenic evening view of fireflies! And prevent Arnold from mass-exterminating them! Though the most beautiful thing at night for Arnold is his future wife !
I KNEW she was going to jump balconies. Who needs to walk all the way around when you can just jump, after all? Though Arnold is there to catch her this time. That's what it means to have a partner . Rishe loves Arnolds' eyes but he hates them because they're the same as his father, and he has a lot of ill thoughts regarding that man and in turn his own nation because of it (even if he still cares about it more than he says). And it's those same feelings that transfer to how harsh and cold he can come off, to the point where he's willing to kill anyone, even those he cherishes, if they get in his way...like his mother, or maybe even Rishe . But even so, Rishe sees Arnold not as the man he projects or the man defined by his nation or birth, bu as himself. Someone that even if he cast her aside or tried to kill her, she would still want to be with in any loop or in any of her lifetimes. And to her, his eyes are still beautiful . Good on Rishe for having Theodore's spy network following Michel! Even if he slips by them eventually . Time to show off some fine Coyolle's artisanal wares! And even their ability to perfectly recreate Arnold's watch! If Arnold truly works together with Coyolle's, they might be on the brink of a true industrial revolution! But what's preventing Arnold from using his military might to just TAKE it for Galkhein rather than try to negotiate? Why, Rishe's belief in him and Kyle's earnest and sincere belief that he would be willing to make a more peaceful dream a reality . I love how Theodore and Rishe have a secret wink for emergencies. Though as soon as Rishe leaves the room Arnold brings in a bunch of knights to seemingly secure Kyle, and Michel is sitting around almost as if he's just waiting for his opportunity to show off his black powder !
