Things are going well for Rudy! He and Norn are getting along a lot better and are even going to form a brother-sister writing team to write a book to help out Ruijerd and the Superd race! What a beautiful thing !
Rudy can't resist Aisha's little sister puppy dog eyes, especially when he wants to be a good big brother to her. And she's as capable of weaponizing that as well as her merchant skills. But it's good to see her treating herself instead of just acting like a maid who only lives to serve others . Nanahoshi is making progress in her experiments and if all goes well, she might even be able to go home ! Zanoba is an even better sculptor than before and Ginger has settled in well taking care of him and Julie! And nothing says loyalty like fulfilling a promise to Zanoba's mother of serving him loyally even after he sold you for a Roxy figurine . Cliff is making progress in helping Elinalise control her condition! Even if it means wearing a sumo diaper that would probably function like a girdle! But baby steps . Domestic bliss montage! And what better way to cap it off than the revelation...THAT SYLPHIE IS PREGNANT! RUDY IS GOING TO BE A FATHER! I'M SO PROUD OF THESE TWO !!! (Of course the one bummer is Rudy and Sylphie will have to be a little less frisky around each other ) I see Aisha and Norn are still competing over who is the best little sister...but it makes Rudy want his entire family together even more. And hopefully that can happen . Of course this is a Turning Point episode so...Geese sends word that the rescue efforts for Zenith aren't going well, and they need help. And of course Rudy's old buddy Man-God shows up to tell him he'll regret it if he goes. And he's got a child on the way and a family here to think of. And maybe he can cheat on his wife and bang an animal girl while he's at it, it's just some advice . Elinalise will go. And she'll break up with Cliff in the process, because she doesn't see a future together for the two of them, no matter how much she might love him. But I don't think Cliff feels that way . It's also probably for the best that Zanoba stays behind, but at least Rudy can count on him to protect his wife . Should Rudy go? Sylphie is okay with it, but he has his own family to think of. But this is his parents we're talking about, and Norn will go even if he can't, but that just makes him realize that only HE can do this. And he has to save his parents. and he'll leave things in Norn's hands as he goes .

Man-God refused to elaborate when Rudeus pressed him for details in the most evasive manner possible. It was also the first time to me that Mad-God didn't feel like he actually had any good advice for Rudeus. Stay and impregnate Pursena and/or Linia? Terrible advice. They lack any and all maturity. Norn would have gone off and gotten killed, probably before she ever got there. Elinalise would have left the two positive things she's had in her life in apparently quite a long time (Sylphiette not rejecting her and Cliff being deeply devoted to her). The impression I got was that Man-God is effectively done with Rudeus and got whatever he needed out of him. Which is way more alarming. |

Honestly, with that guy, it's impossible to tell. We can speculate all we want, but seems like we'll just have to wait and see. Either way, I doubt it's going to be something like Sylphie dying. Or even the baby dying. Heck, it might not even be immediate.
I am glad he went, though it was obvious. If nothing else, this was important where Norn's concerned. She still loves her mother and father more than anything, and while she finally managed to reset her relationship with Rudy, if he then decided to stay behind, then she'd probably have died searching futilely for her parents while still boiling with anger and resentment toward him. |

For me it's not about what will happen to sylphie or the child and more like something will happen with him in the begaritt continent. He will mess up or he will have some encounter that will mess him up or something like that.
roxy is there too so maybe something will happen to her. |

Turns out it wasn't hard at all for Sylphie to conceive. No concubines needed!
I was really happy to see Rudeus interact with his little sisters. They've become a real family, even if Aisha serving as his maid is still weird. Quote:
All this time he's been baiting Rudeus by guiding him towards things he wanted (his family, his manhood, etc...), but this time Rudeus has everything he ever asked for except his parents who currently need his help. What's the bait he offers this time? Pursena and Linia. He's clearly desperate if he thought that was actually going to sway him.

I assume hooking up with Linia and Pursena was in the service of gaining the loyalty of their people. Or having kids with them... Quote:

It was nice to see Rudy treat her more like a sister than a maid here . Quote:
Though while I think it's good that Rudy is following his own path and not blindly following the Man-God, I still sense trouble ahead...

Rudy hasn't really done anything since s2 of note. I would say the only impactful thing that may have happened is King Badi following Rudy to the school, which given his strength, might have some kind of future consequence, but aside from that, I can't see how giving him advice to go to the school would result in Rudy being a pawn he no longer needs. Rudy is happy in the beginning. He feels desperate at the end.
When Man-God appears in his dream, he becomes furious. He realizes Man-God knew what will happen, but misdirect him. Man-God doesn't deny the charge, but saying the outcome is happy married life with Sylphie. Rudy suspects Man-God has his own agenda and interest. Man-God responds vaguely. When Rudy is struggled with the option, Sylphie tells him don't worry about her. Although she says so, not been around with her would scar her for rest of her life. In reality, wives would never forget and forgive their husbands. Rudy's friends have to work hard enough to help her, when Sylphie is left alone with pregnancy. The episode ending reminds me about the ending of last season. When Alice left Rudy unannounced, Rudy felt into despair. He finally remembers his childhood with Zenith. He made his resolution, as "Zenith, I will save you". |

I mean, of course Rudy is going to have some regrets either way. That's basically inevitable. But giving out advice to pursue Linia or Pursena is really pretty thin, so I'm in the camp that the Man-God is desperate to avoid having Rudeus go save his mom for some reason.

So if Rudy ends up meeting his first love, his former teacher, Roxy, and "cheats" on Sylphie because of it, would that qualify as a regret? Regret is so vague when it comes to Man-God's words, so it can mean anything.
Also, Man-God sounds and acts like a bro who will say anything as if everything is all good, but is shady as heck; hence, you can't really trust what he has to say, even if there is partial truth to what he says. Or better yet, the regret could be, "why didn't Rudy come help his mom earlier?" He "regrets" taking so long to come help her. In life, there are always things that you can be regretful about. The only thing you can do is do the best you can and move on from there. That said, I can't wait for some real action to happen. It's been way to long since there were some real action with life or death consequences.

No way would I leave my wife when she's going to be having our first child. If she had already gone through this before, I may be more inclined. But definitely not the first time.
Paul said send help; it didn't mean it had to be him. I'd try to leverage all the useful friends I have, and failing that, look into perhaps hiring someone. It'd be great if he could convince Badigadi to go in his stead; that guy could sure handle problems. I don't think I'd want Elinalise to go though; that'd crush poor Cliff. I'd also be a little alarmed that she was so casual about throwing that relationship away. It's like c'mon, at least try to look a bit conflicted lol |

Kinda frustrating that Rudy forgot about Nanahoshi. As another isekai'd person, she could possibly work miracles that go beyond the local gods' precognition.
If Rudy stayed and helped with the summoning research, then in that process they could re-discover teleportation magic as well. That'd solve this problem and would be very convenient for the future. As an otaku hero, he should realize that he's the main character, and these kinds of stories always boil down to fighting against fate. Now who's gonna help Nanahoshi? Sylphie? Maybe they get sent back to Japan together by accident, and we get a reverse isekai chapter.
