I feel that. I started watching anime when I was fourteen; I'm forty-nine now and stuff I thought was the shit back then I tend to fast forward a lot when rewatching as my tolerance for silly stuff has dramatically lowered lol

I'm curious to see if they'll give the backstory of the conflict between humans and demons and if the show will go for an harem given that in one episode we already got a sexy witch, a clumsy maid and a loli demon lord.

Remember dekisoko last season where there was this former hero and no one knew of his secret for years until the events of the series?

Now we have this series this season where only 2 people (1 dead) knew this guy was a human for 20 years right until the events here, now in a span of like a month we now have 3 additional characters knowing about the MC's secret

To be fair, he seems to be relatively new to whole this war thing and before that he probably didn't interact with many people.

Yeah I agree, there's also that Kenja no Mago/Mashle angle here where he was kept from other people because of his secret, probably. I guess we'll find out more later on.

I don't know, this chapter was hard to watch. This has nothing and they are just going through the checklist in fantasy anime.

I'll give it another chapter, for the looks of it the blonde knight may join the MC so that may interest me.

Feels like another show where I'm not sure what to make of the MC's goals. Sure he wants a world where demons and humans can coexist. And...what's his plan for actually making that happen? Sure, killing as few people in battle as possible is a nice thing to do (though unreasonable that he can keep casualties low to non-existent in all out war for long). But honestly it doesn't seem like he has more beyond a nice ideal to strive for. His current situation is just do well enough at his job while not being discovered by his own side.

Wow the maid went all in on being part of this harem in a hurry . Threw in a succubus for the heck of it. Was she in the last episode?

As usual with a story like this 95% of humanity are scum and the only decent people are probably going to be harem candidates. Bit tough on the MC's goal for peaceful coexistence if only one side of the conflict seems to have decent people in it .

Will give it another episode. It's not bad, but not anything special either.

I'm assuming that the demon queen also wants peace or is at least willing to consider it and was waiting for someone like Ike to make that happen. He obviously needs some powerful backing from both factions to reach his goal and if he manage to turn the human general girl into an harem candidate...I mean, an ally, that would be a first step.

I got through both episodes and... can barely remember it a bit more than a day later. The maid is cute I guess. I might give it another week but the whole "peace between humans and demons" thing has been done better elsewhere.
