Yeah.... this came as a sucker punch to me too, lol. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to it. I guess the question to ask now though is how far Falcom is going to cover with the remakes? Just the Sky trilogy? Or will they cover the Crossbell arc, too? Because boy howdy, if that ends up being the case.....

Good news, the game will launch on Steam, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. It will be published by GungHo in the West .

Look like the combat get modernized with Kuro and Cold steel system.

That drop kick look so good.

I'm impressed, if only because Falcom's 3D visuals have been mediocre by modern standards for a long time now and this is the first significant upgrade.

I hope Ys will get this kind of polish too.

Apparently the English translation will be new. FWIW, GungHo has former XSEED staff on it.

Simultaneous worldwide release planned. They're really going all out for this one.

September 19 release date.

Hope it's worth their time given how weak Switch sales are these days. Steam port wouldn't be too far in the future.

Reviews I've seen of those who got testing access have said thst it plays well but feels like it's not really a Trails title anymore. Wonder if that is the case because those 2D sprites were a core part of Trails experience for me.

Steam version's coming out worldwide on the same day (with a PS5 release as well).
