Unfotunately though they published an airing schedule, as far as I know, the titles are still unpublished after episode 103.

No, I'm just sick of ignorance. Just because an arc isn't from their precious manga, the "original creator" didn't write the whole damn thing, and they hate it, so they seem to think that it means that the arc isn't canon and don't matter.

I always thought you were quite well versed in the ways of anime.

Im really not trying to argue with you here but as I explained in depth the fillers are unrelated to the main/official storyline.

To relate back to your star wars analogy- Imagine if George Lucas took a break in between 2 & 3 and someone else came in to write a sub story to fill the gap. George Lucas wouldn't allow this nobody to kill off or evolve any of his characters in such a way that would have ramifications on the main/official storyline.

People can die and stay dead in these fillers but they must be newly introduced characters who's plot lines are self contained within the filler arc.

All the bontou will die and everything will revert back to normal as things were before the bontou arc started. We know this for a fact, arguing your point further is making you look naive. I hope we can put this debate to rest now.

if you know about it, you know all star wars fans want to forget about it. and thus it ( which is considered filler/moneymaking attempt) is not part of the storyline.

edit: Or one better.. when the droids and luke "got lost" and found themselves on sesame street.. is this canon? ( am I dating myself with that reference?)

There are things that should be considered seperate continuity. The driod/sesame street thing sounds like it's out-of-continuity like the Bleach 2nd OVA. However, there's no logic in thinking that any official episode of one series is out-of-continuity. Who made the episides and storylines don't matter.

And yes, manga characters CAN die in fillers. Just as long as they are dead to begin with in the arc that takes place after the fillers.

Just because the majority belives in something don't make it less ignorant. I mean the majority of people on this planet belive in a form of god, after all.

Listen, I'm not saying that you shouldn't be able to ignore fillers. I'm saying that it's illogical to deny that it happened within anime continuity.

I want to. I really do... but this sort of thing comes up in every damned thread about fillers. Even when ANYTHING from the filler is mentioned, there has to be some form of prejudice and/or discrimination about it. Some people here can't even seem to let others talk about it without some "Oh that's just a filler character" or "Fillers don't matter, stop talking like they do" comment. Even the "It's good for a filler ep" comments are getting old. It's annoying and unnecissary.

When the filler is over, one of the things I'll be the happiest about, is the end of discussion about the meaning of filler. That will almost (but not quite) be as joy filled as the actual show.
