at the current chapters, i'd have to say blackbeard poses the greatest threat to them all. as admitted by shanks. after all, ace was sent to kill him. but a few chapters more and surely luffy will beat them all hands down. he will, after all, become the pirate king. hehe.

ok i dont understand wat makes u think luffy is stronger than mihawk sanji AND zoro! i would think tht sanji luffy and zoro were all pretty even... i mean even if luffy used his second and third gears zolo could match his strength using tht 9 sword style of his and sanji would match him with his flame kick style.... rite?

- Draikan7, Well, Wapol might be able to beat Smoker or Ace. If he could just suck them in I think it would be all over.
 - dreamless, I agree about certain powers working better against other powers. So it's hard to tell who the stongest would be. Besides, maybe Zoro will get a katana made from the Kairoseki material that stops DF abilities and drains them. With that why couldn't he 'cut' through Smoker or Ace? - hi_no_ken_Jebus, That comment about Robin beating Alvida makes me wonder. What if Robin made an arm grow out of Alvida, would it have the sube sube effect? If not, then Robin could definitely win against Alvida. - Illuyankas, Well, a sword made of Kairoseki would stop their DF ability, so they could cut right through lightning with them I would assume. - Illuyankas, Whoa, wait a minute, Zoro cuts metal all the time (not including filler arcs). He cut Hachi's swords for sure, and other's swords. It was steel that seems to be the difference, and not just regular steel as I would assume that Hachi's swords were made of steel (and quite heavy). Well, enough for now. This is a long thread. And at different times different people were stronger. So we can talk about who the strongest people are in general; but you can't really determine a "This guy is the strongest" bottom line.

Well I'd like to think it's pretty obvious Luffy will be the strongest on a whole, Seems he's the main character and all that, But he's been beat before so.. You can't really go on that stereotype. I'm guessing Whitebeard because he drew with Gol D Roger apparently, And Shanks and Mihawk seem to be pretty strong each, Mihawk being the greatest swordsman after all.
I just wish it was complete so we could know everything haha >< |

exept for Eneru who has a natural weakness against luffy and croc who can be defeated by anyone with a water gun luffy can't defeat logia fruit users
in fact i wouldnt put a DF user as best fighter just imagine zoro with a seastone-forged blade he could defeat them all ! |

Strongest ever? or alive presently in the one piece world?

i would agree but luffy still has to grow he is not #1 yet
the list should be 1. Shanks 2. Whitebeared 3. Dragon 4. Aokiji 5. Enel 6. Mihawk 7. Garp 8. Ace 9.Luffy 10. Lucci of course the yonkou are tiedish with shanks and WB and the rest of the shibuki coiuld be near mihawk but that is more realistic Luffy has a long way to go |

ok..ok..ok... ive been itching to say this GARP is the strongest or one of them
(i consiter these four to be the strongest so far in no particular order) Whitebeard Shanks Monkey D. Garp- Luffys grandfather who trained luffy and gave him that inhuman strength through hellish training Monkey D. Dragon- Luffys dad supposedly the biggest threat and terroist in the OP world And OH probably Blackbeard he got a D also soon to be Monkey D. Luffy maybe Portgas D.
