If there's romance between them (which I think is very possible in this series) it will be a slow and arduous process. I would think Shigure is somewhere in her twenties.

late Mid-to-late 20's i say. if she was in her 30's she would be much more alluring, and taller, and mature in the way she moves (i.e. more out going) well that's my interpretation anyway

actually...they way that she speaks (and looks) seems more like yakumo (SR) to me :3 maybe thats why i love her more than miu

and yea ill say that shes about 26-28 ~

ahh...yakumo! i love her!

*wish there were real life Yakumo's around for him to meet*

your correct, of course, shingure is more like yakumo!

besides if she was 30+ she would be in the same age bracket as kenichi's kaa-san, the milf she is, around 35-ish.

so if they wanted shingure to be the same age they would more or less, make her seem reasonably similiar to height and style, in my opinion.

Well, somehow, I found the motivation to write the entry for the summary of episode 12 as well as some screenshots

I am not too confident when it comes to reviewing shounen series, especially on fighting sequences but I hope that everyone who is interested can tell me how to improve on it. Cheers and thanks!

Nice read Impz! Not bad for an amaeture who has just started watching and _blogging_ a shounen series. As a shounen-fanatic myself, I would just point out that the wording themselves need to be a bit more.... hmmm... vigorous and energetic. For example, describing Kenichi's punch with a term "beautiful" is a big no-no when recounting a fight.

A punch is brutal, abrupt, unexpected, fluid, thudding when it makes contact with the flesh, or bone shattering when hits any bones, but never ever ever "beautiful". The describer must enter the shounen-zone and immerse oneself into the world of excitement dictated by how the excitement will trigger a rush of adrenaline. Astrogen just doesn't have any say in the business of excitement a shounen is involved with in general. Hence, the usage of flowery adjective should be as limited as possible any time a fight scene is recounted. One can always do it easily by focusing on the amount of blood, bodily damage done, gore, viousness, or any other equally appropriately delicious violence.

Seriously Impz, nice job blogging episode 12! Kensei is indeed _one_ of the greatest Chinaman since I am fortunate enough to have a few more healthy ("perverted" is the impolite synonym

) friends from China.

P.S. rep Impz if you haven't already. Impz deserves the appreciation.

O_O oh noez. Well, what you described is really why I kind of avoided shounen series. Impz here really hates blood and vicious fighting, which makes me go totally @_@;;;. I see how it goes, but I think it sounds really painful.

Still, let's see how it goes, ahahaha~ I think shoujo series are still much easier for me to review.

Just started watching recently, since [KnKF] picked it up, so I was curious to see what it was all about. Not much to say about it then what has already been said about it in this thread.

A nice replacement for Muteki Kanban Musume for me. Comedic violence sprinkled with some nice character development. Kenichi is one anime guy I can root for.

Episode 6 was a little "Meh-ish" for me, but I guess that's because I've the manga on my mind more. They seemed to have merged both storylines of the manga a little, which might actually make the future developments a little more interesting.

Deathkillz ~ You're dead ^__^* ~ Graphic Designer Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: uk, England Age: 34	^ yep it sure is lets see how kenichi turns out ~ ep 13 ~ Spoiler: small recap on what happened last ep before the fight begun ~ kenichi refuses zuji's offer and he ends up breaking a bench...kensei stops miu from helping kenichi as plans to let things play out ~ kenishi manages to block the first punch and while at the same time throws one back at zuji...without much effect...next he dodges again and launches one onto his back muscles...zuji then taunts him to attack is face and in doing so fell into his trap and he uses his forehead to damage kenichi's hand...kensei noticies that its a grim situation and ken would probably lose ~ next zuji attack again but a using a cheap shot he stands on kenichi's foot preventing him from dodging and smacks him in the face (ouch >.<)...kenichi stands up and zuji comments on him being an interesting guy ~ andother attack leads him into fooling kenichi but claping his hands together and ducking ~ instinctively kenichi tried to block his face but is the uppercutted by zuji... kenichi is confused..."why is he so strong!?" ~ "hes a completely different person to the ones i defeated before" (the usual doubting routine)... zuji was a bout to leave but kenichi wont let him...he wants to finnish it! zuji throws a punch but ken dodges to the side...but sly zuji through that punch grabs kenichi by the shoulders and head butts him knocking him back...not wanting to fall kenichi then tires to head kick zuji but it is blocked and zuji punches his leg...then grabs it again sweeping kenichi off his feet and aims to puch the guy while hes down... back at the dojo we see appachai is still happering a nail into a voodo doll grandpa hayato turns up and give them hell for causing more damage and the run off ~ back at the fight kenichi gets punched twice and he falls to the floor...still kensei is refusing to let miu help...and kenichi stands up again O.o he must be a cockroach kenichi blocks zuji's next punch and throws him back (using the side stepping technique) ~ but kensei says that its over...zuji leg locks kenichi and throws im to the floor...he the sits on his stomach and tires to break his leg... kenichi is screaming in pain and thinks about his teachers... miu cant stand it anymore and tries to jump to help him still kensei grabs her by the legs and pulls her back... but no...takeda (i think O.o) the boxer dude punches zuji off kenichi...he is shocked...but it seems we have a new challenger (no puns intended :heh) ~ she shows off that is can no use his left arm and picks kenichi up...he says thanks and faints...they then run off... zuji sends his lowers to go after takeda ~ takeda finds himself wondering what to do but kensei turns up and defeats the yobs (by breaking a bridge) ~ takeda tells kenichi how happy that he can start boxing again but obviously ken couldnt hear well he finds himself waking up into hell as the other teachers threaten him for losing XD poor guy jumps into miu's arms ~ they "encourage" kenichi to do better next time (with a very scary face ) kensei shows the clip that he got and comments on how well ken has already done ~ at school kenichi is scared by nijima...and he tries to make things bad for kenichi...actually causing kenichi to be chased by more fighters >.< hes an akuma! well kenichi runs to a dead end and its trouble all around...but again...takeda comes to save his ass (man hes soo cool ^__^)...it seems that takeda has completely converted to be on kenichi's side ~ takeda's friend shows up and says that he will part ways with him and wish im good luck...how sad to see friends split apart and ken cries ^__^ at the dojo...they are planning something...hell the get the glowing eyes again O.o it seems that they want to make kenichi into a strong person (but due to my failure at understanding its rather vague) ~ even kenichi can feel the evil presence at home...but omgz...his sister...is not only cute...but takes after her mother preview: kenichi undergoes training from hell awwww ^__^ heartwarming end ~ well it shows that kenichi cant win everytime and that he still has much to learn ~ __________________ Siggy: hohohohoho~ \| AnimeHistory welcome to our blog ~ \| Summer2009 early review Under the radar series Summer2009: Kanamemo, GA Geijutsuka Art, NEEDLESS

Impz Insanity Anime Blogger Join Date: Oct 2006	Spoiler for episode 14: episode 14 was pretty amusing to say the very least and I like the boxer guy being the hero for Kenichi twice. He's pretty cool right now and it's good to see Kenichi being weak for once, because he is put in his place. That said, I doubt i will do any summaries for Kenichi because I think my little experiment at Shounen is a bit too hard for me, ahaha~ Thanks for all the advice though. I fully appreciate it!

Deathkillz ~ You're dead ^__^* ~ Graphic Designer Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: uk, England Age: 34	i lose my will to write the summery for ep 14 again as my computer crashed while i was just finnishing it cries heres the less detailed summery Spoiler: well leaving out the start we see that the theachers are plotting something big for kenichi ~ Akisame is thinking of giving kenichi training from hell ~ miu is still looked up as an idol amongst the girls in school...she gets out of the swimming pool and giggles at kenichi being chased by more thugs...the flower girl (i cant remember her name asks what his relationship is with kenichi and she just says that they are friends) at the changing room miu shows her assets but chance and everyone's jaw drops... kenichi is being trained by Akisame but he is acting suspicious asking kenichi to take it easy... next comes his sparring session with miu and he is defeated...this time shio is being suspicious...he comforts kenichi for loosing and also says that this dojo is a very friendly place... kenichi stips apachai running past and asks him whats going on...but the response is less that encouraging as apachai says that nothing is wrong in a panic tone...next shows shigure poking her head around the corner telling kenichi to run for you life before getting snagged back... well kenichi calls for a teacher meeting and Akisame reveales the truth...they want kenichi to live at the dojo and become a real student...calling kenichi lucky he flips and runs off...Akisame tried to stop him but he manages tto ram through a wall...but later he is caught and tied up... kicking and screaming the other teachers tries to carm him down...but it doesnt work as kenichi is stubbon...then kensei pops in to give kenichi a perverted fantasy...he states the benifits of living at the dojo and kenichi fantisises about miu and shigure this causes ken to go into a trance like state totally abandoning his fear and he agrees happily skipping off... while at the side line apachai and shigure pity kenichi... ~ at home kenichi tells his family that he want to stay at the dojo...naturally there is a resistance from everyone but his dad asks him why he want to be at the dojo...kenichi replies to be strong and he agrees to let him go...while crying himself (for a childe to part with the nest is very touching) and at this time honoka is also crying her eyes out >.< ~ the next day outside the dojo kenichi is let in as a proper student...he has no regrets as he fantisises miu giving him a back scrum in the bath but Akisame has other ideas ...miu shows up and continues to fantasise...scaring miu heh well as kenichi opens the door to his destiny...lo and behold the death aura haha! XD he fainted in fear but the training hasnt even started...well kenichi is told to shape up and he does...with shio playing with his head hahaha ~ the training starts and let me say that its torture...kenichi finally realizes that hes going to die... shigure then trains him by making him going into a stance while she slices some apples...the aim is to stay still or die XD shio make kenichi into as human wheelbarrel and kenichi notices Akisame writing his comments into a book... next up is apachai...kenichi cowers into a shakes...next thing we see is kenichi bursting through a wall from a punch... O.o that night kenichi realises that hes been tricked by kensei about the loveing that he would recieve from miu ;_; he ties to escape and finds partol guards ~ he finds a letter to him from his dad and this is the touching mushy scene...reading that letter he is encouraged and strives to go forward...but even if he didnt cry i sure did...was quite emotional as a matter of fact kensei that night takes kenichi to his secret peeping spot...an outdoor bath with no cover! nosbleeds at kenichi's fantasy) ~ they find traps layed around but with kensei around they manage to survive XD omg how brave of them...to reach for their manhood XD well at last when they reach the bath...we see non other than...miu's dad pop out!
