Shuffle! Memories

I suppose someone could visit all three of the fansub sites that did the first one to see if someone has mentioned it. Just remember the last 5 or 6 episodes were "controversial" (annoying) enough that they may have a bad taste about it. The girls themselves and the music was popular enough though that someone will probably pick it up.. at least a speed sub group perhaps.

The first series op was much better. The new ops just a bunch of cut and paste images from the series with a mediocre song... -_-

Best recommendation I can give is "expect nothing" ... it may accidently have some nice moments.

Well I do find myself re-watching the series from time to time and I still enjoy it. So even if its merly a re-hash I will prolly still like it :P

Don't be so harsh with Navel, everyone. They haven't disappointed us up till now, why should they start? Even on wikipedia they say it's an intro episode, nothing more ...

"This episode introduces the audience to the entire cast of characters and a little of the back story for the main characters. It's a basic overview of the Shuffle! story and universe."

Let's wait for episode two, then continue commenting about Shuffle! Memories (since the first ep is more like Shuffle episode 25), ne? ^.^

I haven't seen it but Soul Link is another story, we're talking about Shuffle here. As long as they managed to make 3 great games and an anime, they might as well make it happen again.
It's kind of sad seeing how most of you guys judge a book by it's cover because that's EXACTLY what you're doing right now, if this was episode 5 and it sucked, then I would have agreed. If I judged all animes by the first episode then I would have missed out on Fruits Basket, The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi and even Chobits (who I considered boring at first but kept watching).

A quick question: Do you guys think that each episode of Shuffle! Memories should get its own thread (and poll)? I'm only saying this because if we do that, then this thread won't get so cluttered.

OR should Shuffle! Memories get separated entirely from the Shuffle! thread and be on its own in the current series area?

Um... perhaps you might review the forums.... most of us have been here since before the first season of Shuffle! aired, sat through it, .... suffered with Soul Link, and now we're here. Its not really Navel's problem so much as the companies they've handed the animation production to and the director of Shuffle! is also directing this Memories. He says this one will be better.

Their track record is not good and they've got some schleppy marks to repair so its more like we're adjusting our expectations for this "shuffle v2.0" not to get too excited. It is just safer not to expect much. However, Episode 1.. being a recap, really doesn't provide much clue about how the rest of the series will go.

The software is pretty entertaining with only a few messy points but thats a separate topic.

I understand that, all I'm asking is to stop judging it by the just-aired first episode who is actually a recap of the original Shuffle! ...
