If you're referring to DNA^2, then you should prepare yourself for some action, a little of romance, and a lot of ecchi. The anime was pretty much faithful to the manga original, but in order to see the real ending, you'd have to watch the OVA as well.
And it's the series that first used the phrase "megaplayboy". |

I'd forget DNA^2 and just watch Video Girl Ai.

Lol the main character has the same name!
DN Angel - Daisuke who is a master thief goes around stealing stuff. Good animation. DNA Squared - Daisuke who is alergic to girls (Worse than Yukinari in Girls Bravo, he throws up.) goes around trying to impregnate 100 women and create a master race thanks to a little mistake from the future. Extremely old Animation. I think it's 1980 or 1990. Very funny, very stupid, not ecchi at all but extreme Fan Service.

DNA Squared is a good enjoyable show but I found it childish I was expecting a lil ecchi in it as it revovles around megaplayboy but sadly their was none . Overall gets a 6/10 .

I really liked DNA2. It's cute, humourous, and tasteful with the fanservice (a bit of cheesecake vs. a 5 kilo bag of sugar). It's from the same guy who did Video Girl Ai and I's, and is the only anime based on one of his manga to actually have the story properly finished. The DVDs are dirt cheap (you can get the whole series for $25 during a sale), though only 3 eps each so Netflix is not such a great deal with it.

Actually I've watched DNA>2 years ago and its really cute.
It's about a guy that is very nerdish and a girl appears from the future trying to shoot him so that he won't become a guy who seduces thousands of girls who have thousands of decendents and messes up the future. It's really wierd but cute. DN Angel is about a kid who has the soul of a thief in hm that activates when he falls in love. It's cute as well and is dubbed in English now, I have both the English sub and a dubbed copy at home. alice |

I second the recommendation of Video Girl AI. I think it has a better story. Both series are based on manga by Katsura Masakazu.

I actually liked DNA^2 a lot, even more so than Video Girl Ai. Then again, I'm very biased against robot/machine girls, so VGA didn't really click with me AND the fact that I'm a sucker with time-travel stories.
If at all possible, try and get a hold of the manga. I've seen both, and as usual the source material is better (IMO 100 times better in this case). Only problem is getting it, because its been so long since its been finished scanslated that its going to be hard to find it unless one is familiar with IRC. Of course, neither of those can compare to I''s for me, which to this day still ranks high up in my favorite mangas I've read. And that's coming from someone who hates to see my favorite character archetype lose, so that's saying something.

NECRO TIME!
Just saying, but DNA^2 is now available streaming on Crunchyroll. As I said like almost a decade ago, it isn't anything you could call a masterpiece, but I really liked the story of it. Now if only CR can get I''s PURE as well..
