Dunno if it's already done, but can someone make one where Kakashi was shocked to see the new book by Jiraiya sometime in ep 1 of Shippuden, it had Kakashi having his hand out and lightning shattering saying "Nani?!"
If anyone can make that, thanks. ^_^

I could try that, should be up by tomorrow I think...
These were just attempts of older requests, just trying out. (That one is huge but I had to make it. XD) Sorry, I tried it but it didn't work. Maybe you should ask someone else. NEW OLD Last edited by Slyzer; 2007-03-14 at 02:03. |

Yes, thank you.
I know you can't use them in this forum due to the filesize which is what I'm currently working on.. I still don't know what to do to make them smaller. ASA A bit lose of quality... Last edited by Slyzer; 2007-03-14 at 11:21. |

Easiest way to reduce file size is to delete redundant/similar frames and use optimized settings for colors and lossiness (if that is the proper word for it LOL). Putting a border around the avatar slightly reduces size also. I dunno what program most people use for their GIFs, I use Adobe's ImageReady which makes it pretty simple to optimize size.

Eventhough this isn't the thread to discuss this in, and Monir has kindly provided the link to the topic which has all the info you'd need for making good quality gifs and getting the techniques down as to get them good. Now, I'm not the best gifmaker out there, cause there's lot;s better out there, but I'm gonna comment on this anyway.
Decreasing colors, dithering and even using lossy is nice and all.. but is has serious limitations if you want to make an avatar look good.. spots, weird colors, people turning grey, hair instead of blue it becomes a greenishblue, weird skies. etc Anyone can easily make gifs that look good with filesizes going up the wazoo... The real "art " is to get them to look good without those things, or at least as few as possible, and optimize as much as you can in other ways.. a 50k limit is a challenge on some avatars.. it also depends on what scene you are making a gif from.. lots of big movements lessen the maximum amount of frames you are able to use for a <50kB avvie, so do changing scenes within an avvie.. for instance.. the Gaara sandhandmovingthinggif The original is 90.646kB. if you try to make that one below50k with lossy, dithering and decreasing colors you'd end up with one very ugly looking avvie imho. Now look at these. I've taken your gif and editted about 21k (69.019kB) off by only taking out excess and duplicate imagepieces. still no reduction in colors or anything else(69.019kB) Then I only decreased colors (49.638kB, adding one color would have made it 50.001Kb and rules being rules, that's over the 50.000kB AS stated limit ) ( actually I had to reduce a bit too much for my taste, but this is only an example and the result is still within good quality imho) It's also a 15 frame avvie wich is about the absolute max you can have on this type of avvie and/or scene imho If I had made it from scratch optimizing the images on the full sized material, I maybe could've shaved another couple of ks off. All the optimization methods I've used here, I've read in the topic of wich Monir provided the link some posts up and other tutorial threads here and arount tah intarwebs They take some more time to get to the endresult, but once you've "mastered" them ( djeez, I sound like some Mr Miyagi talking to a grasshopper ) you'll get nicelooking avvies within the restrictions.

Whoa.. i don't know. Looks like you have it set on like 4 or 8 colors.
We should probably move further discussion on GIF making to another appropriate thread, though. Don't want gif requests lost admits our off-topic posts.

it looks like you're using imageready and you have the optimization set wrong.
if you post the .psd file i or someone else can probably tell you what happened, but if i open it in imageready or photoshop, it looks the same, only it's 21 frames (probably too many for a Suki Safe gif) |
