"This ability is usually triggered by extreme situations or from recalling significant traumas, often arising out of a need to protect someone else in a critical situation."
That's in reference to SEED mode, so in other words it's an emotional reaction. With that being said, I agree with what someone else said, they would be uncontrollable killing machines. Take a look at Quatre when he first piloted the Wing Zero, he was angry and the ZERO system warped his mind. His fathers death significantly impacted him, and this caused him to go "insane". However, Heero, whom we can say has mastered the ZERO system, says that there is nothing wrong with following your emotions, I would assume that he also ment to say as long as you can keep them in check. So in other words, they aren't a good mix. |

The effects of SEED mode is not as clearly defined as the ZERO System, so we can only come up with certain speculations.
The ZERO System is basically something that uploads a shitload of data to your brain, so much that it can drive you crazy if your own thoughts conflict with the system's calculations. This can trigger all sorts of emotions which can be a valid impetus to go into SEED mode. Since SEED mode usually hints that a pilot surpasses his/her conventional limits, I'd say that SEED mode keeps the pilot in check while ZERO System is active. Apparently, a master of the ZERO System has supreme concentration, eliminating all distractions (as the wonderful Trieze quote notes, "There is nothing more beautiful than a warrior without distractions."). What I'm thinking is, SEED mode gives you that extra burst in order to do what you usually can't, while ZERO gives you the strategies and calculations for the best way to slay your target. So my point is, I think all SEED mode will do in relation to the ZERO System is allow the pilot to master it (if he/she can't). It's a dangerous combo, but in the end, its not that a significant of an advantage compared to shit like Newtypism or anything like that. |

If you used these in combination with eachother the reaction time of the pilot would go beyond what any MS could handel.
And therefor the MS and the pilot would be in conflict with eachother and probly make a hudge mistake and end up dying in the process. |

Kira with zero system == gg.
Imagine Kira using zero system to command all those orb murasame. Each murasame as though it is kira piloting them. I guess just 5 of them would wheck havoc. Just as Zechs using 3 Virgo vs the gundam boys minus Heero Yuy |

Lol. SEED mode and ZERO system are different. SEED mode only increase your reaction time just like the ZERO system but at least it doesn't drive you crazy. Though it's kinda interesting to see what would happen if Kira, Athrun, or Shinn ever used the ZERO system. They will probably be confused due to the ZERO system, but knowing Shinn he'll probably lash out at everyone. :P

Shinn attacking everyone is a give in. He'd attack everyone even outside of Zero's influence.
As for SEED mode increasing reaction time, I just watched both series in the past few days to see if I can understand SEED a little further and I don't see it increasing reaction time. Anything close to "increased reaction" is the higher level of concentration during SEED mode. |
