Yea, when I tried to use the word "conflict" to make it vague, but I guess it didn't come off that way. After episode 5, it'd be really hard to justify a "OMG I HATE YOU" clash. We just don't have enough information yet. Maybe Yukiho gets an Idol later on that likes her better, since it seems they show preferences. Or that other opposing group lures her with the promise of, "Oh, we'll train you so that you can have your own idol and help Haruka".



Unfortunately, the initial premise of this show doesn't make for many conflicts - it's their job to smash meteors into small pieces so that the earth's safe. Anyone that tries to oppose that - well, I know Sunrise can be cheesy, but not THAT cheesy. I would say the next 2 - 3 episodes will determine whether we get something interesting, or just typical moe antics. I sincerely hope for the latter, as I really like some of the touches they added in fleshing out the world, like how they tether their cellphones to get better reception.

Well there is the other group out there (Turiavita?), so maybe they'll show back up to provide some conflict. I like the girl in the white dress (can't remember her name ).

That makes a lot of sense - I can see that happening.

And yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing what the other groups' intentions are. I'm telling myself that even though the show isn't that interesting now, at least there's a "dormant" conflict that we know exists...we're just waiting for it to become active. It shouldn't be too long for now, hopefully. Idolmaster is also quite funny at times too, especially Ritsuko's antics

i may have overlooked this being answered but how many eps is this series? i think the action all depends on the ep count...if its around 12 eps then the action is going to start pretty soon (or not and have a completely rushed ending with everything crashing and burning) ~ 24 eps and i think the "fillery" eps are going to be dragging on for a bit longer T_T

and well Yukiho seems to be the type that could easily be brainwashed into think what she is doing is right when it is actually wrong :3

I think at this point the show has the potential to be something new and different, even though it's been pretty typical at this point. I just get the feeling that there's an underlying latent force slowly making its way to the surface here. That could just be wishful thinking, but maybe there's something more to this anime than what we're being served at the moment. Meh, I'm stickin it out.

And as far as the show having "no plot" goes, even Eva didn't have any real plot until the 10th episode. But at least we have some plot setup. Already there's a mysterious group, obviously against Modenkind for some reason whether it be moral differences or the typical grudge, that stole an Idol. BTW, WTF do they want an Idol for? Has anyone besides me considered that question? Chihaya seems to have some [negative] history with the Idols. Look around. There's friggin plot everywhere - it just hasn't started moving yet.

And about having no interesting relationships, what about Haruka and Imber?

The Key part for the Anti-Modenkind (if this should be german then Mondkind is right =Moonchild) must have something to do with Imber's past. Perhaps a failed Drop mission?

I am willing to bet no one will die in the next episode but I hope I am wrong, this series needs some tension badly. Not that I have watched the preview itself but if I had to guess probably Makoto will get injured somehow and the main trio wil lbe the only force that protects the earth from the evil meteorites.

Ep 4

Well, Iori can hold the situation and say to Haruka to Stay Away but Haruka manage to succeded of punch the Meteor. Iori's result bad, Iori see something that scare her about Haruka, a Thing that Iori will be useless... Makoto seems to not care about Iori... The Iori situation was difficult to understand but... She's the one who care about Idol, she loves Idol, she suffer when Idol suffer, just like when she saw her Nebula, damage by Makoto... And for the Kitchen , it's FUN, made for win. Yayoi is the BEST XD, and Yukiho is perfect.
In the end, Iori teach something to Haruka for IMBER and Iori and Haruka will slowly being Friend, Haruka trust something to Iori and Iori will befriend Haruka.

Ep 5

Spoiler:

An episode for Yukiho about her weakness, well she's weak yeah... She's trains so hard but she can't help herself. Even if Yukiho is good what Haruka's weak, Haruka's good about pilot an Idol. What happened to Imber? Why Imber can't move with Yukiho? We accuse for the Yukiho Weakness so the Entire Ep, Iori will became Yukiho's instructor and Haruka will help for her training.
In The End? Yukiho's feeling bad about her weakness but Haruka will tell her about her past and about how she's going stronger after. After helping Her, it's the Day for Yukiho? Will she move Imber? Actually no
Only a Back-Up like Ritsuko, the reason? Imber have only one Master, Haruka... Each Idol must have 2 Master, Nebula have Iori and Makoto but Imber have only Haruka, after all, Imber wait for Haruka for a long time and seems to not having interesed of Yukiho. So... What's next?

Ep 6

Let's back to the situation, About Master Role. Makoto will have a chat with everyone and now it will be an another situation. Remember the Ep 2 when Chiraya lost? This Time, this timing is so perfect for Chiraya and Karasu... Don't care about Ri-san. This is another Meteor Situation. Haruka and Makoto will be on.
After Haruka broke the 1st Meteor, everything turn critical. Each can't contact the HQ and the Idol, at the moment, Chiraya came and injure seriously Haruka which is not Ready, this critical battle will result at Haruka and Imbel Serious Damage, Haruka's going to die? Or she lost conscious.... When she lost blood... And Now Chiraya will finish this, Is too late for Nebula save Imbel? Maybe yes but OMIGOSH No! Don't show the Preview! But no , we know that in the Next Episode, even with Warning, Haruka will survive (but in all the situation, she will live...)

26 epsiodes is good news indeed, and if episode 5 is considered "fillery" then I wont mind if the show is full of filler. And is it just me or did the Otaku engrish get a little out of hand in Episode 5?

Who do you think, will heal faster? Haruka or Imber? And i hope for the show, that they let Yukiho start up Imber someday. Haruka cannot always be on standby... So the enemy faction has it to easy, to capture or hinder them to use, Imber, when Haruka is the only pilot....But i bet, they don't do it, capture Haruka.Then they have really a problem. With only Nebula then, who looks out for Asteroids or they act outside on their "Base Standby" time. But, I'm sticking my nose in things that are not my concern. Gomene, Sunrise. Fight-o, Fight-o.
