theres something bothering me about light giving up his notebook- did he really walk around with misas note under his shirt all that time to keep his memories?
isn't that awfully risky?
i mean, there must be a better way than that... what if he starts running or something?

When Light became the new L, he accepted on the condition that he would not have to risk himself the way Ryuzaki did. During this entire episode Light would have stayed wherever their headquarters was -- his apartment in Japan or their hotel rooms in Los Angeles.

The series has really slowed down to me since L died but i still enjoy watching. I dont find my self making it a point to watch it the day its released as in the past. Now Lights dear Ol pop bites the dust that actually made me sad and Light's reaction to the whole situation was appalling. He does not give a damn about anyone except him self and his what he feels is justice. The lack of compassion for his father nailed into me that Light is way beyond redemption there is no turning back for him.

Also, to show no reaction to Misa in that outfit hes not human let alone a man. Even though i am sure he has done things to keep Misa loyal. After all this time if Light could not keep up the pretense of actually caring for her, he could not manipulate her the way he does. So im sure they have had sex quite a few times. Whatever it takes to get what he wants.

I really feel sorry for Lights sister I dont think she will ever be the same, and her brother could care less about her and now she losses her father poor girl

I'm confused by all the notebooks ownerships changes , I guess i'll have to watch it again.

From my count there are 3 total death notes currently in the series. Light aloiginng with Misa have 2 he switches back and forth depending on his needs, that way he can give up ownership of 1 without losing his memories. The third death note was taken by the Shinigami who came to ask Ryuk for it back.

Rem gave Misa the death note from the previous Shinigami who died protecting her. The Rem died during the same reason and left his death note behind and the other is the one Ryuk tricked The Shinigami King into giving him after he said he lost his that is was the original one given to Light.

I think thats right can someone confirm?

I was also confused by the number of current notebooks initially. It is unusual for me not to realise the significance of that day when Light picked up Rem's notebook. Anyway I have almost lost interest in the whole show since the death of L and it become a completely different series =( I really miss the showdown battle between L and Light.

Is L really dead, or is he secretly guiding Near?

The show's definitely starting to lose my interest. I'm seriously considering regarding "Death Note" as a 25-episode show, and what we're getting now as a sequel which can thankfully be ignored. It's just too fast and overcomplicated and too many things don't make obvious sense and aren't explained, and I don't feel like I've experienced previous events with everyone so I feel detached from what's happening now, and I end up just not caring, and it ended anyway. When L died, it was a great anime scene, with build-up and meaning and it was like raw culture on a television screen. When

We usually tend to sympathize with psychos, but Raito is just sickening now

Either that or he picked it up before anyone else did..
(hence why Mello didnt want to touch the note after Snyder died, he didnt want to become the owner)

Even if the thug made the deal get the DN, shouldn't the current owner die in order to own the DN? so Light( or anyone else being the current owner of the death notes anyway) is alive, the thug shouldn't be the real owner and his life span should appear. Righto?
