That's very true but were getting there lol

There's that new phone by LG I believe that plays tv

I agree with everyone though playing games like those on a mobile is a waste of time(besides little games like pac man, black jack etc)......why the hell do I have a psp, ds then?

A phone is to make calls.

But I agree with you, a phone purpose is for calling, just like a music player is for music and a portable game device is for gaming. To have all of it rely on one battery, it's like that saying "don't put all your eggs in one basket."

Actually my current phone is the chocolate......I love it, had it since august though so time for something new.

I want the LG shine!

I want to kill whoever had the idea of making mobile phones that could do more than just calling, and have a colour screen.

Hell, I want to kill whoever thought everyone needed a mobile phone. I proudly don't own one.

Lucky for you, phones are marketed that only call and don't perform extended features. For those of us who like to have more devices in one (less to keep track off, frees pocket space), phone technology is constantly advancing.

The reason why those of us in America (and possibly other places) don't have phone features like they do in Japan is pretty simple: the costs and data rates for internet on our phones is ridiculous. It costs too much and it's too slow. More recently I believe some company or two have started to offer unlimited data plans, but previously you were charged per kilobyte of data sent/received. I've also heard a theory stating that the Japanese have more downtime as they use public transport - in America, practically everyone drives. Japanese have time to kill during their commutes, Americans can't. It makes sense that there'd be a market for phones that can do a lot in the Japanese situation.

Except that most of the time you don't really need several devices on you. Almost everyone that has a built-in camera in their mobile phone uses it casually, for fun, instead of, you know, making meaningful pictures.

This mobile phone with several devices stuff should be a niche, not the mainstream, just like most people don't own a Ferrari or a Porsche.

I'd rather have it and not use it, than need it and not have it. It's still nothing extra in my pocket.

Most people don't own those cars because they're impractical, the exact opposite of having a single device for everything.

Well Sony's Gamer Day just ended, and now GT has a crap load of videos uploaded. Overall it was pretty good actually, wasn't to surprised about some of the titles shown, already knew they would look great. However, I'll just say Uncharted and Heavenly Swords win, and leave it at that :P

Yeah, but the game isn't coming out till Fall so there is still time for them to improve on that. However, I doubt they will. It's always looked slow like that since it was announced back at E3 '06.

While most people are focused on the new IPs, I'm very excited about the new SOCOM.

New firmware tomorrow! Not the rumored 2.0, but it's still very nice:

- DVD upscaling
- PS1/PS2 upscaling
- Media streaming via DLNA-compliant servers (includes TVersity)
- Roaming Remote Play via PSP (requires fw 3.50)
- Photo printing via USB printers (currently only Epson)
- PS1/PS2 saves can be transferred back to the memory cards

FW is up now! Be sure to play with the settings under the Game option in the Settings tab to find out which options work best for you. I had to enable "Full Screen" to get the full benefits.

Also, if you try to enable 480p through any of the games, that will disable the upscaling.

And now I get to cry again because the DVI port on my stupid (but still pretty) monitor doesn't support HDCP (and hence, I can't get my HDMI-DVI cable to work). Westinghouse...you sit on a throne of LIES!

the diff between 1080p and 720p is they are just resolution sizes, u make the comparsion between 1080i and 1080p. Altho there is very little diff between the 1080i and 1080p atm
