I think both of their views of each other are based on the relationship they had when Rudy was young. She did a lot for Rudy, but at the very least, Rudy has grown quite a bit since then. It's very possible that he could find the person he idolized to be more down-to-earth and relatable than he thought, especially considering Roxy harbors a lot of insecurities, and that could open the door to him having feelings for her, even unexpectedly/unintentionally. This is basically what happened with Sylphie.

Barring Rudy is an otaku from the last generation (his reference is centered around the 90's the age of deconstructions of heroes and anime as the book was written over a dacage ago) the world doesn't work that way. He isn't the be all OP MC that later isekai's have. And what fate is he to fight against all we know about is what a very sketchy "god" told him.

I remember that he was pining for her at the beginning of the series, and she said for him to wait 10 years or so. It might have been puppy love then, but it is with full hormones now, so it could trigger something else. For most series that deals with teleportation magic, the castor has to have been to the location first before he can teleport to that location. Where Rudy is going now is somewhere he has never been to before; hence, I don't think teleportation magic will help him in this case. However, after traveling all over the place like he has been and is going to do, I do believe that acquiring teleportation magic will be very useful at that point. They can skip right to destination instead of doing travel stories, kind of like what Weiss and Benioff did with Game of Thrones.

Looks like Rudy and Elinalise are going to be traveling companions again! And because they both mutually agree they don't want to sleep with each other, Elinalise will probably need Cliff's device to manage her curse during the trip...and the fact that she hadn't talked with him about it, or breaking up with him, says all that needs to be said that her heart wasn't in ending things with him .
It's a bummer for Nanahoshi that she and Rudeus won't be able to continue their experiments for the foreseeable future, but the least she can do is give him access to teleportation circles around the world so he can cut down on travel time and hopefully make it back in time for the birth of his child. And to continue their experiments, of course ! Sylphie is a supportive wife, but she's just as worried about Rudy knowing everything they've gone through up to this point...but Rudy won't leave Sylphie like this, and reassures her. He also puts his faith in his little sisters and even kisses his wife in front of them . Man, I hope he gets back in time to make sure his child isn't saddled with "Rudeus Jr." . Rudeus says his partings to all his friends at school (where is Badigadi though?) and it's time for the partings with the loved ones...and Cliff proposes to Elinalise before she sets off. She's the only girl for him and he wants to make her a married woman, and Elinalise truly, genuinely, loves him more than anything. And with that finally settled, they're off, as a tearful Sylphie bids them farewell. Be back home soon, Rudy ! Good news, the teleportation circle actually works! Just a bit of a time lag I'm sure won't complicate things...I hope. Also, here's Orsted's clothes stashed somewhere which has got to be pretty surreal . Rudy, rein it in! You're married to her granddaughter! Though it was also just the effect of the hot desert succubus. Though Elinalise will probably never let him live down the "let's get crazy" line. But it's adorable how Elinalise was thinking of Cliff in her sleep . We finally get to see Elinalise fight and Rudy back in action as an adventurer . Elinalise back to man-hunting, but she doesn't have a choice. She was probably thinking of Cliff the entire time . Elinalise has a lot of fond memories of Zenith, and remembers how Paul recruited her in their party to begin with, but why does she hate Paul so much? Did he try to sleep with her or one of her kids ? We made it to Ranpan! Time to reunite with Paul and the gang and save Zenith .

Didn't quite catch up to the manga like I thought, but in exchange we got a whole bunch of battles and adventuring between the teleportation circle and the city that the manga only gave an off-handed remark about, so I'm still happy with this.
Will probably catch up before the first half of the next episode is over, if not within the first 5 minutes. |

Anyway, works out nicely for Rudeus. Teleportation sure is handy when it's actually safe.

Convenient that there was the teleport cicle to begaritt. So he is safe to return quickly to be with sylphie, still I doubt it will be that easy.
Well, cliff device is not perfect but I’m sure he is aware that elinalise looking for another man would happen, but in the end is better if he doesn’t know and if he does he won’t care. Still kind of sad. |

Interesting to see Elinalise fight. They did travel for a year already, so they are likely very used to how each other fights, but none of that journey was shown. Rudy would have been dead already if she didn't come with him(though obv it wouldn't happen if she wasn't), so its good that he has someone watching his back.

He certainly knows she will, and yeah, he won't care, but its interesting that something that was portrayed as comical when Roxy was blowing up her room while Elinalise was having sex is now taken very somberly. Now, they don't show her lavishly having sex either, not even indirectly. Glad the author understood what the feelings the readers would have. Yeah, I'd like to think that she appreciated everyone in the episode who helped her figure out the multilayered idea for the circles. At the very least, I could see her giving that info to Rudy even if she had an alternative source of mana to help her in the meantime, if no one else.

The lag certainly seems suspicious to me. Makes me wonder whether they really jumped directly or if there was some period of time involved in the teleportation, maybe in the worst case a random amount.
Anyway, I hope now that we're getting a labyrinth exploration that they'll actually give the explanation of how labyrinths work. I thought that was a rather interesting concept. Spoiler for labyrinths:
