Yes! Yes, I think that was what was at the back of my memories. And like the giants, those things (bunnies, モナー, etc) were really big too.

My most anticipation is that the ED has not been shown yet!
From the casts, it seems that Hikasa Yoko (seiyuu of Mio from K-ON) might sing the ED.

I wonder how the ED would sound like.....damn!

The 11th volume of the manga will also have a limited edition packaged with an OAD DVD based on chapter 18.5 of the manga - "Ilse's Notebook". It comes out on August 9. Same staff as the TV anime.

Picked this up on a whim with no prior knowledge other than the brief description provided in the Spring 2013 thread.

I have a bunch of questions regarding the Titans, however I haven't read through the thread, maybe some answers may be found there. What happened to bring them about? Were they once-men? Why are they all apparently male? Where did that lightning bolt come from? Did it actually transport a super-Titan, or did it hit one of the regular Titans and supersized him? Apparently the back of the neck is a weak spot?

I'm hooked already, and off to read through the rest of the 27 page thread.

This is Araki giving us a result close to Death Note, when he gets his shit together, not the tranwrecks that HoTD and Guilty Crown were. I hope it stays that way.

Is one of the most impressive and awe-inspiring opening episode I have seen in all of anime.

And I cannot conceive of how this can even go wrong.

I would put the blame on Yoshino for Guilty Crown. As for HoTD, I thought it was fine. It didn't betray the spirit of the original work and he gave the fans what they wanted (over the top action, tits and zombies).

(A horrific image for everyone, for a few moments, even if your back is broken, you're still alive and conscious, you just can't move - so you can basically watch yourself as you're about to die)

So... they lost the city (and as far as I know from the summary, this is the only city they have in the world?, so where do they even go now?) - especially since I doubt they'll be able to build a big and strong enough wall against that super giant)

Also, I saw they mentioned Ships.
Does they mean... either the City and it's Wall covers an extremely large area (not like it'll prevent super giant anyways) and have regular water ships to travel large distances of water.
or... they have air-ships (and if they do, couldn't they help evacuate people using these? since these Titans clearly doesn't know how to "jump" - at least it looks like they don't, LOL.)
