Okay, about the uniform ranting...I think the uniforms designs are absolutely beautiful. I think I can't remember other designs that would match up to these.
black-white-red combinations were always my favorite. And I think it was a nice detail from the mangaka to put the white ones to the vampires.

I read this manga (if you mock me for reading Shojou, you will pay dearly), and it's one of my favorites at the moment. I've always liked Vampires and this series certainly brings new ideas and new ways of looking at them. The anime, so far, has been amazingly loyal to it and I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of the work so far, especially with the voice acting. When you have Yagami Light playing Zero, you know you've got something great here.

I'm hoping the anime won't diverge from the manga after a certain point. Most other monthly issue mangas have been adapted into animes, and indeed most of them have ended before the manga even though they began long long after. Examples are FMA and Claymore. I do hope VK will stop at some point with a season 1 and then pick up again with season 2 after the manga's made some more progress. I know it could be wishful thinking but still.......I don't want this anime to end horribly (remembers Claymore D=)

@freeden: I hear ya about wishing the anime would stop since the manga is ongoing but considering right now its at what...8 vols, that would almost cover an entire 24-26 epis series. I dont mind an anime only ending if they did like Ouran did and make it open-ended so we could get another season/ova when the manga get further or actually ends.

I dont mind an anime only ending if they did like Ouran did and make it open-ended so we could get another season/ova when the manga get further or actually ends.

As long as they don't make an anime-only ending. That would just plain suck.

They have to make an anime only open ending if we're going to see the rest of the show animated, is there a point from chapter 21+ which can give a decent conclusion that doesn't just stop? Best case scenario imo is them animating up to chapter 20 (say 17-19 episodes which at their current rate is about right) and than doing an original arc for 20-26 that leaves things in the status quo and leaves room for a sequel so the rest of the manga can be done in a second season once it's finished.

Worst case scenario is a Claymore ending which ruins any chance of a second season without massive rewrites.

I don't think the show really grasped me. I just kept thinking how those humans are freaking stupid for trusting vampires. They are carnivores and humans are their food. All those students that are unknowingly attending a school with a hoard of vampires are having their lives risked in a dangerous experiment/game.

It doesn't feel like the settings of the anime is in a season of considerable coolness.
And, white uniforms in the night, they look more like ghosts [J/k, they looked really cool]
Hmm, this anime has a feel of Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora for some reason..

there are very few people that *know* they are vampires (to be exact yuki, zero and the headmaster, vampires aside). Zero does not trust them, Yuki fully trusts them, as per her being saved by Kaname when she was young, and the headmaster we do not yet know anything about expect that the prior two are his foster children, so not much can be said as to his reasoning yet. On the vampires side little to nothing is as of yet known to why they are participating in this, though it was said that many of them are there because Kaname is (think in first ep one said that).
