Me at work

What I find interesting in the staff is that almost everyone basically got a "promotion"
Anzai Takefumi gets to be "assistant director" after years of working on episodes at PA works and bones. Takeshita Miki gets the animation direction/chara design spot for the first time (and it's not like she's been at P.A works for a long time either) Satou Rika has only co-written a few tari tari episodes and now gets a co-series composition spot. Interesting how she's an animator turned scriptwriter, would love to hear exactly how that happened (unless there's just an animator at P.A Works that shares the same name). Honda Toshie has been working years at studio easter but it's the first time she gets the art director spot. Also find it interesting that unlike True Tears,HSI and Tari Tari the male characters are actually featured in the key visual (even if it's in the back )

My initial reaction is "meh."
Nagi no Asakura may be flawed, but it at least had ambition and a dramatic edge to this. This seems too safe ala Tari Tari, which I enjoyed mind you, but I prefer more series like Nagi (flawed as they are) than Tari Tari if I had my pick.

But PA Works did step it up when they adapted Uchouten Kazoku and the character designs here look slightly different from their usual "Hanasaku Iroha clone" designs. |

mmm, so we have to wait until summer, eh?
Anyways, not much impressed by the PV as much as I got from Tari Tari's first one. Coupled with the fact that Tari Tari's people are involved, it makes me quite sold. But I would be regardless. Hard to tell just by the PV, but the male cast seems quite sound (and present), aspect in which usually PA works is a bit lacking. With the exception of Nagi. So it would be a nice improvement on that department, change that could make you think that the show could have some romance in it indeed. The fact that the cast seems perfectly matched doesn't help either. Well, I'd be fine with or without it, if the story is good. Speaking of which, another large cast to work with, we don't know yet if it'll be one or two cour, do we? I'm ambivalent about that. In any case I hope they will handle them a tad better this time.

After putting out their two most interesting stories (Uchouten and Nagi) successively, we're back to this? Sorry PA Works, as much as I respect your work, this just seems positively uninspiring. And if TariTari was any indication, likely to bore the heck out of me. I'm sitting this one out until the impressions roll in.
Two things are for sure; we're gonna get some stunningly animated glass porn out of this, and a ridiculous amount of fisheye camerawork. |

Well, nothing can be said yet, but apparently the cast is truly already matched up more or less, and I already spotted two possible dangerous words, step-something and transfer-something-else, that lean me thinking it could be not as simple as it could seems; just saying
