The time listed by Crunchyroll (which I signed up for solely for this) for the debut seems to have passed without a word. I wonder if this is a common thing for the site....

I'm guessing CR are just busy with the expo. No excuse at all i know, though it's the only reason i can think of.

Yeah, they haven't even posted about their own new acquisitions yet so I'm imagining that some announcement about it will go up tomorrow.

Helloooooooooooo Taki! Really enjoyed the first episode, been waiting for awhile! Unfortunately, doesn't seem like Taki won't appear for quite a bit.

anyway, after watching the first episode of this, I found out that there's two other seasons so I started watching those.

My question is this, the cat/wolf thing has an agreement to have the book of friends once the main character dies.

Obviously a logical thing would be for the cat to let him die or kill him, himself.

But I like a more defined why he doesn't, I kind of get that its like a contract or formal agreement or 'honor' thing. Hard to put it in words, I kind of feel there's a japanese way of explaining it...

and what's so important about the ones that are kindly asking for their name back? If natsume isn't gonna do anything with it. is it that they can't pass on?

Yes I guess its partially that but I think in the end Nyanko-sensei just cares about Natsume and is too cool to admit it outright.

Names having power is a common magical trope, so they're asking for their name back so that nobody can use their name to have power over them.

That's my understanding of it, anyway. It's also why so many want the book, for the names it contains and the power that would give them.

). Now I know why. Really glad it's the same old Natsume I've known and loved. Actually, this season can do pretty much anything with it and I would still love it all the same, maybe even more. Just being able to watch the characters is enough for me.

OP & ED are pretty much the same as the previous seasons, though I really really like the OP song. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Not only for the set-up story and characters, though also shows us just what we expect to see in this series. Heart warming stories. I approve of the choice to use this one for the start, because it works rather well. Like OP and ED. They did a very good job reintroducing the setting and the characters to us without it feeling forced. It flowed very naturally. The story this time is not one of the best, but it was pretty heartwarming. Furthermore, I'm sucker for any story involving Reiko, so I loved it. As always, I'm dying to find out more about her, more specifically, how she got a son (or a daughter? I don't remember if this was clarified), considering how cut off from society she was. I really hope she managed to find some happiness towards the end of her life. The OP and ED were in line with the previous ones, so very good. I see Taki in the OP, hopefully she'll appear again this season. She was so much fun, and a perfect match for Natsume. It's so wonderful to have this anime back. __________________

It's great to have this show back for the next few months. I would say something like, "I hope we get to learn more about Reiko this season", but honestly, I will probably be satisfied with whatever is thrown at me. OP was fine. The story was nice, I'm a sucker for old Japanese ladies I like the OP song a lot, and the ED's great too, love the family visuals as mentioned above. Still can't get over how adorable Nyanko is.
