I wonder who is going to end up with who in the end...Ruka seems to have an attachment towards Kaname but seems like Kaname is not paying attention to her. From what I've seen here's the relations between the characters:

Yuuki >>>attentive> Zero
Yuuki >>>respect for> Kaname

Ruka >>>looks at> Kaname
Kaname >>>not concerned> Ruka

Aidou >>>friendship>Akatsuki
Akatsuki>>>cares for>Aidou

I'm surprised you left out Zero in your listing.

Assuming I understand your chart right, I would add...

Zero>>>cares for> Yuuki

That's been pretty clear from the beginning. But if there was any doubt, the anguish in his voice at the end of ep 3 should remove it.

The more I look at Yuuki and Kaname together with that similar haircolor and eyes, the more I see the glowing incest getting brighter and brighter. Maybe they're not distant relatives afterall. After ep3, the idea of them being 'siblings' is starting to get less and less ridiculous.

I was browsing wikipedia and it said purebloods marry their siblings to preserve their bloodline. If Kaname and Yuuki are really siblings, then that would explain Kaname's interest in Yuuki, doesn't it?

When Kaname told Yuuki that he wanted her to always stay warm, perhaps he meant that she should not awaken to her vampiric instincts and be as pure as she is right now. Yuuki seems to have an issue with the color red as well as shown in episode 4. It somehow fits. :| I could be wrong, but whatever lol

Vampire purebloods are like any noble family in history, to preserve the heritage and bloodline, stuff needs to happen.

Whether the sibling issue is true or not, Kaname has an interest in her. He saved her, she owns her life to him, wouldnt you be protective of someone like that??
