@Namiey Looks nice, don't worry about fake transparency. I like the effect and the idea.
@Sworn to Believe Nice but it's too color heavy for my taste. A shade lighter, a bit more brightness or a glow. Would be great if you added a bit more details to the background, like delicate leaf outlines.
@Chimuts I like the idea but I think you should clean the signature up a bit. There a are a few visible leftovers.
@RGC Railgun Very nice idea. I do like v1 better though. I think it'd be a good idea to apply a similar blending effect to both background and foreground layers so that both graphics would share a similar feel and effect.

Take into account that not everybody uses the default skin while browsing the forum. Under the blue skin, one can actually see through the fake transparency.

You should also try to keep the leafs away from the edges, btw.

RGC Railgun: I like the second version better

Sworn: Better autumn feeling now

Namiey: Defiantly better
Chimuts: I agree with Daniel E. The leaves could be faced away from the edges.

You can see it clearly too in a quote box. Also, it looks a bit grainy too and the quality seems rather poor.

@GuiBleh I think than it should be fine without the SOTM text.
@ Drake I do prefer v1 but it's just because of the larger focus, v2 is fine too.

I like ver 1 better, ver 2 looks way too orange. I suggest blending the stock a bit better since its stands out a lot from the background, espc Lulu's hair.

And I feel in general like either one needs something. What could it be? I mean, besides blending.

Maybe something in the foreground could help them blend in more, like a maple leaf, for instance? Just a suggestion, but I think that's what I might do in your position

Sworn, why don't you use photo filter a little with gradient (maybe overlay) on v1, it should blend the render better that way. You could also use a little transparency on render.

I mean you could put a leaf or branch or something on a layer above your renders... like how you would normally use brushes and effects and stuff. Like the effects in your current sig.
