Watched the first episode, and it was pretty good. I like the classic undercover cop story, and that's basically why i watched this, though i couldn't help but laughing at all the males. I mean it's pretty obvious who this (and i'm sure the manga) is aimed at, and it makes me laugh by how hard they were trying to make that message come across in this episode.

Take Kai and that flower guy for example --- they could have kissed at any moment.

Do like how it went completely crazy in the last few minutes. Left me confused.

Lmao, great post. I felt the same thing, but I tend to pick up this kind of hints (too) easily, so I couldn't tell if it was just me.

I enjoyed the first episode quite a lot, but clearly for all the wrong reasons. The amount of pretty boys immediately got me in fudanshi mode, and I reckon I would have been much more bored if the bishonen were replaced by bishoujo. Kai couldn't be on screen without me thinking, "well, if that isn't one adorable character" (FukuJun is partly to blame for this, of course). I also loved all the appearances from Sugita Tomokazu's character.

Leaving my impressions aside, people who don't care about the bishounen should enjoy the series anyway, since it does have a fair share of qualities. The animation was fairly consistent, there's plenty to like in the OP, and some parts are indeed confusing and leave you wanting for more. It's not really the kind of plot you come across in anime every day, either. I also think many people could find Kai moe.

I liked this a lot. My number 1 complaint about the manga is that I have a hard time telling one character from another. They all look very similar. But in color and with voices to help distinguish them, I don't have that problem. I can focus on the characters, their relationships, and the storyline. I don't have to spend so much time wondering who's who in the picture. I'm looking forward to the second half which is scheduled for February. (The second half's release date was moved from December. Bummer. )

Yes it is very good but like all OVA series there is a long time between releases.. and that kind of sucks..

I recently watched the second OVA. I was a little disappointed in something.

Spoiler for OVA 2:

I expected them to at least show us the effects on Kai of the Switch even if the they didn't explain the why or how of Switch. Since they made such a big deal of it during the second OVA, I was sure we'd get to see it. But it wasn't included in this story arc.

I don't know if the effects of Switch were in this story arc in the manga. I haven't read all of the manga yet. But if Switch was just mentioned in this arc and not demonstrated, then either the OVA should have been based on another arc or the references to Switch removed.

One thing I really liked about the second OVA.

I was surprised at the blood paste "bullets" in the guys' guns. Nice undercover work preparation on their part. I wasn't expecting that. Of course, they got lucky that they were allowed to shoot each other with their own guns, especially Kai given his situation. But we'll overlook that unlikely piece of chance.

Or maybe not chance, since the guy who proposed the dual knew they were partners, knew about Switch, and ultimately admitted he didn't want Kai seriously hurt. So maybe the guys getting to use their blood paste bullets wasn't just luck after all.

After the ultimate bad guy's (Kagura??) true face was revealed, did anyone else think that revealed eye belonged to a woman? I thought the eye was looked like it was surrounded by some very feminine eye lashes.
