This thread is for those of you with questions about the Danganronpa anime or manga. There are many questions that don't need a whole thread to discuss them. A simple practical answer straight from the anime or manga without any speculation can solve these connundrums. If someone has such a question about Dangan Ronpa which can be solved by answering with facts from an official source, then please ask that question here.

I wonder what will happen if there is only 2 students left? We know for sure it is one of the two and I don't think the murderer will confess

Can anyone say me what Dangan Ronpa IF is? Is it an official novel or the same case as with Fate/strange fake? Should I read it after finishing the 1st game or only after 2nd one? Or maybe I can read it even before them?

Finishing 1st game is a must because Dangan Ronpa IF is an AU. Besides, it spoilers pretty much all important twists from the 1st game.
BTW, a nice example there. The same author, after all.

Depends. Do you like phoenix wright-esque visual novels?

When in doubt you could watch the first two or three episodes and THEN decide whether to play the game or not.

If you are intent on playing the game at all, then don't watch the anime first since it will spoil everything and make the gameplay way too easy.

I'd say play the game, othwerwise you probably won't be able to take it, knowing the solutions already, considering the 2 hrs + per case.

Actually, in the game as well, we don't know anything about any DVD content aside of Makoto and Sayaka, except some implied content with very few characters, like Sakura.

its the same, and are you sure its genocider who kill the victim in 2nd case? this is not simple ass detective game btw.

I have one more question, it is regarding the Manga.

The Manga is publishing since the 14th of April, 2011. Now, has the story of our characters being trapped in the school already finished in the Manga, or is it still On-Going?
If it has already finished, what happened afterwards?

The manga isn't complete but close to. However, it is -really- not a good idea to read it except if you want flat out spoilers or if you are a game player.
The reason is that the manga tells the story from the victims/culprits perspectives, hence the main plot is ignored and just go straight to "business".

And even so, the manga has too many inconsistencies to be really canon, although few things are more or less connecting the dots.

Also, Super Danganronpa 2 is basically another setup but still within the same universe with some major connections with DR1. You ought to play DR1 before otherwise SDR2 wouldn't make much sense, but the cast is completely new.

One last question if I may, was there any word around making a sequel of the story, in either Anime, Manga, or Game way?

If Super Danganronpa 2 is that intended sequel, it's a bit "not cool" if it doesn't have the same characters that have already went through the whole challenge.

However, looking at the killer of the current victim from the 4th episode, in the game, it is what the anime says - the Gonocider Syo. Now, here is the trick. The game and the official Wiki have told me who that is (I accidently saw who it is), but the Spolier or MAL gave me one other name. So, keeping things short, was the story-line meant to be the same as the one in the game? Thank-you very much.
