It wasn't much of a shock for Minato to do something nuts like jumping into the fire, but still a solid move. As expected Homura's power did stabilize after getting winged. This does set things up for one chaotic battle. Minato really is a power all his own with that many strong Sekirei on his side.

Was a pretty nice move for Kuu to sneak up and just remove that one guy from the equation.

Did like that attack from Tsukiumi even though she didn't beat her opponent. Should probably expect a rematch later on with those two.

Also, #1 Miya as their guardian. Single digits were referred to as stronger than normal, and it seems like Minato has 6 of the 9 single digits with him. It really does not seem fair, but he is our main character afterall.

Anyway, on the the episode..

Almost everything good that I want to say have already been said.. so I'll just say that Tsukiumi is awesomely pretty in this episode, and altho I dont really like snakes .. those are very nice looking snakes

Kuu is hilarious in her antic when she props in next to the poor fellow, and so is Kazehana when she heard love confession from Uzume.

A little deviation from the manga plot is how Yukari met with Sanada instead in this arc instead of him so is definitely gonna have a little AO arc for that, I dont think it will be leave out, altho it could be delayed to next season (confidently predicting the 3rd season already XD)

The thing that confuses me quite a bit is that Haihane (#104) and Benitsubasa (#105) are very powerful, even though they are low numbers. On top of that, since they are low numbers, they must have came out really late. Why would the third generation Disciplinary Squad come about so late after Yume's death?

Yeah they were enlarged in a few scenes there, though i guess you can't really blame the studio for doing such a thing.

That's what evens the playing field. The other three Ashikabi (South, East, West) all have a great quantity, Minato (North) makes up for it in qualty.

Btw, we really need a name when referring to the four of them at once.

My own theory for this is that, like the single digits, the triple digits are also more powerful than the other double-digits. Along with Haihane and Benitsubasa, Shiina (#107) and Kuusano (#108) is also quite powerful, especially Shiina. There's no proof or anything, just an interesting pattern I noticed.

Aside from them, being a higher number does not necessarily mean that one is weaker than a lower number. All the number truly indicates for them is how old they are compared to someone of a higher or lower number; obviously, a higher number (like Shiina and Ku-chan at 107 and 108 respectively means they were born later than someone with a lower number like Kuno at 95).

It doesn't fully indicate strength/power/etc compared to other numbers though.

Yeah, I understand that. For example, while it's both true that Miya is #1 Sekirei and she's quite possibly the strongest of them all, correlation doesn't imply causation. I think of it as pokemon (not like it's the first time they're compared to anyway...) they're listed by numbers on pokedex but it's not a ranking of their strength. The stronger ones (usually the legendaries) are mostly put among the last and is usually stronger, but it's not like the ones on the earlier number can't beat them in a fight. Heck, one of the uber class Wobbuffet is somewhat smack right in the middle.

But to bring it back to Sekirei, another interesting pattern I see is that the single digits usually has a more impressive set of breasts. This episode has some great, even touching content with great action scenes, but I realized I spend most of it looking at their breasts...what's strange is that I only realized it just now. I'm sure this may have been brought up in the manga forums, but I'm a bit disappointed a new, cute Sekirei with reasonable breasts is eliminated in one episode. I mean, let's have more variety there so that Kuu-san won't be too confused next time Benitsubasa called her, right?

There is one explanation of why most seem to have big breasts. Minato likes big ones - most single digits are Minato's Sekirei - most single digits have big ones.
