Would be pretty strange if we're heading to a conclusion just as the series went monthly, though it wouldn't surprise me. The series has been at that stage where a conclusion could happen at anytime now.

Not only that scene where Doumeki gripped Kohane's hand. As Watanuki asked, why would Doumeki and Kohane study the same thing. Simply because it's interesting? Watanuki was certainly implying something there.

I'm not that fond of grown up Kohane. She's cute enough, I suppose, but not really arresting. And I think she was cuter as a little girl.

Hmm, love triangle between Watanuki, Kohane and Doumeki? This chapter was pretty heavy, compared to some 12 or 14-p ones we've had earlier...the story's moving too, the end seems to be coming close.

I guess I can understand why this manga will be better when it got monthly. I mean, when the chapter was released weekly, the part always ends up in the most unusual way....It's like a cliffhanger, but it lacked some impact for a cliffhanger. Just my stating my opinion

I need to hurry up and catch up with the latest chapter after I saw Kohane-chan...even now, I still don't know who she is or what she is (I jumped after reading chapter 100 or so to the latest chapter )

Isn't Doumeki immune? IIRC, that's why he had to accompany Watanuki when he was with Himawari. To shield him from some of the bad luck.

And of course, there's Tanpopo.

Doumeki's immune because he's basically a huge font of spiritual power who also has the ability to exorcise 'bad things'... which is why he was supposed to hang around Watanuki, especially when Himawari's around. Tanpopo's immune because it was born to be around Himawari, and shares some of the 'unaffected by bad things' aspect of Doumeki's nature.

Beyond that, only Himawari's mom and pop are immune, as the power that's behind her misfortune knows that destroying them would basically destroy itself - which means they're untouched. Not so her grandmother, who wasn't immediately necessary for her survival.

As for Kohane, the fact she's damned cute and grown up (unlike Maru or Moro, who are the only non-customer females we've seen so far.. and damned few female customers at that) since Yuuko left the building and Himiaari moved away for school. Plus she's still got those large, large eyes which gives her face that waifish look.

Gosh darn it. It's gonna be a while until progress from Rou OVA's events. If the OVA didn't leave me in a omgwtfzor enough, indeed this chapter plunged me into a deeper loss.

Not to start a couple shipping or anything... I'm all thumbs up on the grown up Kohane-chan, but still rootin for Zashiki Warashi, just sayin.

I did love Wata's reaction to Kohane talking about her mother, probably the reaction I would have had, though I would have broken something bigger. One thing Ill never get used to is her calling Watanuki by his first name

Looks like I was right and that it WAS Watanuki who got wounded by whatever that was, although Doumeki held them off long enough, save for one. And ye gods, but Maru and Moro got cuter over the last few years as they've become more attached to Watanuki. That hug they gave Doumeki was both cute and heartwarming.

Also, having Doumeki visit Obaa-san there... it looks like Doumeki was trying to figure out what was going on.

Assuming you mean the OVA by Rou (both the OVA and the post-TRC manga of xxxHolic are called Rou), yes. The events of the OVA has not been shown in the manga yet.
