It was just a tad of comedy to lighten the atmosphere for the new people. I was hoping they would see this was a nice and comical forum to be a part of...although when I read it back now it appears that it may cause quite the opposite effect for some.

Ah, it's the first time in about a year I join a new forum. Oddly enough, I find that there are some people here from animeforum a place where the anime section is miniscule compared to the misc. section. Glad to meet you all.

Yeah, hey. I'm also not-so-new...I only just realized there was a general chat board...heh.
My name is Claude, living on the East Coast of the US studying medicine and marine biology. My goal with that is to someday get enough money to found an organization devoted to finding treatments and cures for diseases that pharmaceutical companies ignore because they won't profit from them. Marine bio is just a hobby, haha. Been watching anime since...oh...maybe around 12--I'm 24 now. Big fan of Gundam, Garden of Sinners, Excel Saga, ND Bros, Tytania (started watching that recently, and now I'm hooked.) I play some video games, though I don't have much time for it. RPGs are my favorite, but a good fighter jet sim (Ace Combat anyone?) is a great way to relax. French and English are my first languages, but I also can speak some German, Spanish, Russian, and have a working knowledge of Japanese and--of all things--Sanskrit. Like I'll ever need to use Sanskrit. Psh. Oh, I sometimes end up writing a little too much, and it almost always ends way of topic. Actually, scratch sometimes--I just plain don't know when to stop talking/typing. Like now. Ok, I'm stopping now. Yeah. |
