Episode 2 was a pretty fun episode. There were a lot of spaced-out Neuro faces as well. My only disappointment was the puzzle eating. I was hoping to see him actually bite the culprit.

I hope they start getting on track with the manga, soon. Introducing all of the characters at once without room for introduction or surprise is really ruining it for me. Looks like the first few episodes are either the worst cases or cases that weren't in the manga at all.... Whoever thought this would be a good way to do things ought to be slapped.

Oh well, at least the animation is still pretty and Neuro is still a badass.

Love the main lead, having Koyasu as VA made it even better. Not a fan of the detective genre but the interaction between Neuro and Yako drew me in.

Also having Koyasu voicing a demon is like chocolate ice-cream... so sinfully delicious.

Nothing special like the first ep - i just can help but get the feeling that this series is going to turn into another kaibutsu hime in that each ep will feature a new villian

well at least we get some blood here (and a loli too)

Hmm, I keep hearing that a sub is out, but where? First I heard it was just a soft sub floating around, then I heard there was another low quality sub floating around where the subbers just translated a German sub into English (which is probably a bad idea

You lose enough meaning translating something once... translating something through a translation just seems like a big no-no).

I've just been waiting for something to pop up here on AnimeSuki~

The only sub I've seen was the Japanese -> German -> English softsub. It was done by Anonymous on 4chan and someone also made a .mkv from that script. There's a torrent for the .ass up on Tokyo Toshokan. It's got some stiff grammar/mistranslations but it's readable.

Just watched the raw, for some reason I'm not all that sold on Koyasu as Neuro, I think he lacks a certain touch of deviousness and "kick". Oh, well, I might get used to him after a while. Yako, on the other hand, sounds so ahsjkhdskajh *insert gushes at The Cute*. Hmm, can't wait for more hot S&M interactions between Neuro and Yako. ^^

As for the OP, J-rock... again. Next!

personally I think this series is good. I like the manga, but I like the anime too. It's not any mystery detective series anyway, and I like how the anime provides some original twists, but keeping the main Neuro/Yako S&M style of the manga

It gives some refreshing new story while keeping the manga's novel and interesting theme for me. It'd be not fun for me if they follow the manga exactly.

The main thing I love about the manga is how its very different. And that still holds true with the anime, which is very different from other current anime series. I don't mind the anime making some modifications and new twists to suit the anime medium better

I agree with the mystery aspect about it but I just cant get enough of this show right now

Neuro makes me swoon I guess.

I have chked the manga out and I prefer manga!Yako over anime!Yako at the moment. but Ive only read what is scanlated so far which sadly isnt much but it seems to be getting better.

Evil Friday and Neuro getting shot in the eye were part of other cases but were put in this one. Best moment- Neuro's poison offering and that face he made. free_lancer ~Nobody Important~ Join Date: Aug 2007	Spoiler for episode 3 screenscaps/comments: Screens: -A big change: looks like anime-Yako's mom doesn't live with her? -Introduction of Akane-chan -That meat-hair guy scares me. -This episode used a LOT of stuff from other cases in the manga (Evil Friday from chapter 1, throwing Yako at the cops to get their attention from chapter 1, Neuro getting shot from chapter 9) -The animation looked pretty good, probably better than episode 2. -Too bad the mystery kinda sucked... it was BLINDING obvious who did it. Also, the medusa monster design looked like crap. Preview: Next week: Return to the manga, but out of order. Episode four is the Histerrier case~

Overall, this episode was just like the others, a small mystery with a bit of comedy added in. They also mention the modified Yako's dad case. Spoiler for episode 4 screencaps/comments: Screens: -Animation quality dropped a bit, there were some weirdly drawn faces/heads. -Looks like they're splitting up Yako's case and telling pieces of it every episode. This week covered the house-cleaner and Takeda finding the body. -They cut the restraunt scene, but they still left in the upside-down WcDonalds sign. -Intro of Tsukushi and Usui. -Silly Engrish is awesome. -Once again they altered/cut stuff to pack this into one episode. In the manga there wasn't a bomb in the bathroom, but everyone crammed in the bathroom stall was pretty funny. -They cut the backstory that was like, most of the point of this case, what the hell? They better go back and cover that sometime soon. Preview: Next week is a flashback to the office case. Oh and what was up with Spoiler for minor manga spoiler, nothing serious if you don't know what I'm talking about: Is that some HAL I see? This means they might actually animate that far. If that's true that's awesome.
