I guess it's because that since the whole story is case-driven, they made up anime-original cases because the overall story won't change.

Wow. That makes me want to see it. Romi Paku is currently blowing me away as the voice of Ayumi in Shion no Ou. I love the way she shifts between female and male inflections in that part. She's just amazing. It's a shame that Romi Paku is the biggest reason to want Neuro fansubbed right now.

Amen, though I am enjoying Neuro so far but adding her to the cast makes it even better. Btw, I talked about her as Saito in the Shion thread just to not go off topic here

Why does animesuki said this series will be 26 episodes? Is that confirmed? I don't see how that makes sense if they have filler episodes. It's like saying D.Gray-man was gonna end at 56.

Nippon Television Network lists the series at 26 epis so far. But ANN and anidb havent listed anything yet.

This episode featured a criminal who committed the crime due to his obssession with a TV show and the dream that came from watching it.

Rather luckluster episode, with a lackluster Evil Tool, though Neuro displays his uber-ness by taking in bullets.

The comedy was pretty good, though short, including Yako attacking someone who destroys a giant Gyoza in front of her, and Shinobu and his TV show.

Next time - Song Princess (Utahime) Aya appears.

Too lazy to take any screenshots this week.

-Started out fairly interesting at the start with a nightmare Yako had about X, but then...
-It turned out to be a semi-boring filler involving semi-boring filler cops who will probably never be seen or heard from again.
-Art quality was pretty bad, especially in terms of poorly drawn faces.
-Neuro got all shot up near the end. That was pretty neat.

okey just wtf is that shoe monster suppose to be?
never have i seen anything so freaky

the plot was just dam cheesy though - anyone else think it is strange that the guys didnt give much of a reaction when the police guy grew hair and a whole new set of clothes?

its been confusing me for a while but do they actually see the visualisations we do? like in the last ep where that guy was able to turn humans into a bloody pulp, do the rest see that happening or is it just a visualisation for the viewers? even though they see such horrible scene they dont give much of an reaction >.>

According to Neuro, it's purpose is to go into shoes and analyze what's inside (or something like that). It's an anime-only "tool" and is pretty far-fetched. Kind of ugly, and lacked the air of some of his tools like "Evil Friday"...

Yeah, they never get too shocked. They do give an reaction, it seems, but it'd be repetitive if they kept on having the characters scream or something.
Actually, when X was boxing the guy in the last episode, everyone around them were scared.

Well, it seems like the animal/monster transformations are just a visualisation, at least in the manga.

On the other hand, X really does rip people to pieces and everyone can see it and be freaked out about it.

I wanted to watch this so bad I decided to not wait for subs. Lucky for me even if I can't understand a single word I can still tell who the killer is.

The best part is that the killers are all psychos. It's a nice change from the revenge motives of Kindaichi, the sympathetic murderers from TGQ and the will related murders of Poirot and Marple.

It also is able to be funny and creepy at the same time. I find X cute though which probably isn't a normal reaction but it's just that he has a cute voice and pretty eyes and the blood stains make him look yandere. It makes me want to hug him, at which point he'd probably tear me apart.

I actually do think normal people see the monster forms though. Alot of the times they seem to look pretty creeped out at least to me.

I didn't think the WHOLE series was case driven. Only the part at the beginning. Doesn't more story develop after X is introduced? I heard it gets to be kind of like a Death Note-style battle of wits from what I heard.

I have an interesting story behind this show . I had heard about this show quite a while back from a friend who follows the manga. When anime debuted I was desperate to watch it frantically and fanatically searched for the subs . The only sub available was in German, I was disappointed but I persisted. I told my Austrian friend to watch the German subs and tell me how it has turned out . That was several weeks ago and I had forgotten about the show , just yesterday I was talking to my friend regarding anime and he suggested this show . The name sounded very familiar but I couldn’t remember or link it to that show ( hexed with names ) . So I checked wiki for the summary I was pleasantly shocked to know it’s the show I was waiting for ….

I was a little disappointed by the opening track the song is performed by Nightmare!!! the same Nightmare who sung the OP/ED of Death Note and the OP of Claymore I was expecting more maybe the track will grow on me . First thing what struck me about the show was interesting setup and nicely created characters. I was like Yako Katsuragireminds me of a Female version of Allen Walker .This show has similar traits with Zombie Loan in areas of abuse encountered by the female antagonist Yako. The mystery is well created and uses everyday believable situations . This show gave me the feel of another show from early 90s Remington Steele The mystery in general was not to fascinating but we have to remember this is the first episode where there needs to be an introduction of the main two protagonist. That’s done in an nice manner character histories don’t look forced but we are intrigued to know more
