It felt more like an appetizer for next week's episode, rather than a self-standing one. Stein is indeed precious, though ^_^.

Finally! the best arc has started!

I can't wait to watch the kick ass fighting action starting next week! ^^

Surprisingly too, the episode has also stuck with the manga version on the dot (as far as I can remember) and so anime viewers aren't missing anything out

Highlight of this episode...the psycho moment between Stein and Medusa, love is in the air indeed :3

Damn that was a good episode and is just setting up the major event ahead. Such an intense moment with Stein and Medusa. Everything was put on the table and the act got dropped. He put up a good drunk act for a bit before getting serious.

Not a bad plan at all. Waiting for this moment when just about every meister and Shinigami himself in one place. Sealing them up for one hour while they make a break to go and awaken the Kishin that is below Shibusen. At least it answers the question of what Kishin was close to them from a few episodes ago. Mouse family gets pulled into action being tricked into thinking Shibusen killed their sister when it was Medusa.

Got a decent amount of people out before the area was sealed off. Our three main teams and Stein. Too bad Spirit got stuck up with the rest since Stein really could have used him in this. Though he's pretty strong on his own they are up against multiple witches and Chrona.

If the episode looked good this preview was insane. Everyone vs Medusa . At least for a portion.

Was nice to see that music from episode 1 when they were doing the Black Star intro come back. Though can't recall if it was played a few times in the series or not. Such a great scene with them all ready to walk into such a dangerous situation. Great set up.

The ending was way more badass than I had expected



Kinda wanted to see Soul and Maka dance though...

- I'm excited about this arc, but the pacing in this episode felt too slow. I know they were aiming for the ending shot, but I think they could have padded things better.

- Soul's lines also felt a little too disjointed. Yeah, he's supposed to be down at the moment, but there was no flow in his dialogue.

- KIRIKOU!!! It will take a while to get used to hearing Okita's voice coming out of his mouth though. Not quite the seiyuu I imagined

OMG, I just understand why you said "Kirikou" ... xD Lawl at his name. Kilik (Or Kirikou if you want.) sounds too much like a normal slice-of-life protagonist, so, same thing for me, I won't get used to his voice so fast.XD

I'm positive his name is a reference to Kirikou and the Sorceress. It's spelled the same in Japanese.

You probably are saying that due to the use of a skateboard to avoid them, but putting that aside, the animation style there resembles more of the famous "Itano Circus" effect. Not a Bones trait, although they did use the Itano Circus techniques extensively in Eureka.

Search youtube for "itano circus" and enjoy.
