it's Daisuurin. this is the first time i saw this spectacular hand.it is not considered a yakuman on Tenhou, though.

are they having problems on the lack of design for the girls now or are they intentional. Even though I said that the middle girl looks like Saki from natsuiro. The first thought I have when I saw her is related to Touka and Koromo. Or maybe its just because they are blonds

Goddamn, Ritz you are a genius.

Mako is generally a player who is strong against orthodox players. Mako curbstomped Aislynn last match because of that.

But no one would have expected for Hao to play Riichi mahjong with MCR mahjong in mind. Not even Hisa could have overlooked this!

Finals match would be Sumire, Yuu, Mako and Hao together. Sumire and Yuu are another players who play unorthodox style. I feel sorry for Mako!

Highly unlikely, since chapter 117 will be out on Oct 4th, and we're still on sergeant round (possibly the longest one up to now

Yeah, it'll be pretty hard to do. But Hao doesn't riichi since she believed it would disrupt her flow.
I'd say that Satoha is currently one step head of Hisa.

Now on the Final I think Mako VS Sumire is an even match , they both play according to others play. Sumire target the player once they make a good "face" while Mako disrupt those "face" while changing hers.

If anybody is able to sense if they are being targeted without using any tells, I can't help but think that Mako would be the one. Sumire usually has to contort her hand to target, especially if she misses once, which should have an effect on the board that Mako should be able to sense.

I do think that if Rinkai advances along with Kiyosumi, Sumire's the one who's gonna watch out.

Yuu already know how to counter her (I doubt Sumire will succeed at trying to mislead). Hao's style will totally bypass Sumire's plays and Mako, after this semis, will definitely improve once again.

And an all 1st years Captains National Finals?

I think it's because one page (the last/first one?) featured Choe Myeong Fa, so people assumed she'll play next.

Goimg against adversity is more Hisa's thing, now it's time to see if her first girl (chronologically, not by importance, of course) can pull it off as well. Whatever happens, the second match of the finals will be a fun one.

Is Rinkai gonna be full of superheroes or what?

P.S: Happy birthday, Koromo-chan! Never stop being so cute and to go bouncy on Saki's hips.

So far Rinkai has been avoiding to riichi and stays damaten, so I guess as expected of them... master of self-restraint and hopefully Nelly won't be Awai v 02.
And Rinkai has been pretty solid.
To top that Rinkai's the classiest and best dressed team.

The unfortunate truth is for someone on Kiyosumi to truly shine, someone earlier in the lineup has to get their butt kicked first. Hisa was on the receiving end last time, it may be Mako's turn this time. Still she may have time to turn it around or at least do damage control.

Also - Hao getting 2nd in an Asian tournament where she didn't even really understand Riichi mahjong is amazing. Apparently the hand she pulls off in the chapter is a 24 han Chinese Mahjong hand three step sequences. Spoiler for Chapter 116: Re: Hao's hand, the first one is indeed quite valuable in Guobiao Majiang rules (Three step sequences 16 fan + Self tiles only 4 fan + Simple sequence 2 fan + No honours 1 fan + Single wait 1 fan = 24 fan). For her second one it seems she threw away a red 5-sou when 5-sou was the dora in order to pursue a Three suits through (123, 456, 789 each in a different suit, 8 fan).
