Deep, dark, Bishies!

Hey guys! So in the few weeks before school starts, I'm scavenging to find a good anime series with a serious, deep, bad a$$ bishonen lead character.

I love mystery/psychological/action shows and a little romance never hurts either.

NOT a fan of too much comedy, school-type shows or mecha. I also don't really like shows from the 90's or earlier-not that the stories aren't good, but I'm picky about animation style/quality

Here are some examples of shows that I'm looking for and the character types:
Darker than Black (Hei <3)
Blood + (Haji and Solomon)
Samurai Deeper Kyo (Kyo)
Black Cat (Train Heartnet)--I know this show had its comedic moments, but it was an ok amount
Black Blood Brothers (Jiro)
Vampire Knight (Zero)

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated

Innocent Venus - mecha show, the two bishie main male chars are very interesting indeed. Saying more would be spoilering.

Jyu Oh Sei - survival anime, somewhat dark but for sure pretty badass lead, counts as bishie on my radar, YMMV.

Kuroshitsuji is the definition of bishies. Sebastian is <3 (look to the left, to my avi ) It's nice and dark but humorous at the same time, set in 18th century England with demons and all that stuff.

Perhaps Durarara!? It's a bit far from your current tastes, I can see; it's not that dark or deep but it has a pretty good story, some action, and a large cast of quirky and some bishie characters.

Also, Pandora Hearts - I personally didn't love it but the leads are all bishies and it is dark-ish mystery/fantasy stuff.

I second Monster, it's a masterpiece. Although the only bishie I can think of in there is Johan, the super-creepy antagonist

And then there's Nabari no Ou. Definitely bishies and they're usually moping about something.

^Linking images from other sites is a big no no (as you can see). Reupload the image to a site like imageshack.

Oh don't worry though, in a show like Death Note, it's up to the viewer to decide if people in it are wrong or right.

Some may think he's evil, some may think he's doing the right thing, that's what Death Note is about

I mean, and here I was thinking criminals are the bad guys, and if Light is against criminals?

Death Note did spring up many conversations on either the fact of Light being evil or not just killing about 20-30 criminals on a daily basis.

It truly is amazing to see all the suggestions and all the comments regarding to it

Light's one of the greatest anti-villains ever created. You're sure to love him.

Ok Naru may not be the biggest badass but he is deep and dark so you might want to try Ghost Hunt. Also Mononoke cuz no one is more badass then Kusuriuri-san

X TV might be worth a look. Protagonist Kamui and really most of the male cast can be considered badass and serious bishonen. The show itself is one of CLAMP's darker works with little humor in it.
