I was a bit disappointed with the music placement in "that" scene. If there was one spot in the series where it was okay to exaggerate the angst with an appropriately emotional BGM, like they did more or less the entire back half of the original series, that was it. That "oompah" sound to the intro was just a little jarring. Of course the way the chorus part came in later in the scene was very fitting... Maybe if it were just a different arrangement, I think it would have been better.
Still... Absolutely masterful voice work by Romi Paku and Kugimiya Rie, though, especially Kugimin. Her lines with Mei were perfectly performed... Funny that the two manliest performances in this episode were done by women... ^_^

It was a really great episode (well, all Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood episodes are great but this episode is on another level). I was a little bit surprised by the "added" and "subtracted" scenes. Overall a really great episode, 10/10.
By the way, are there 2 episodes left or only 1?

Two episodes left.
I was mighty pleased with the music placement for this episode. Using the main theme for the big scene at the end worked rather well, along with using Next Chapter and Battle Scherzo at such perfect times during the counterattack.

Edward finally got his arm back! only 2 eps to go!
Can the Hoenheim Impersonator be stopped?! And yeah, those homonculus douchebags will burn in hell! That's right, Burn in hell! And that Mrs Bradley should face the fact that her son & husband are actually homonculus! Pity her, literally! |

I wonder to which extend they plan to stretch next episode since I still say that all can be put into one episode or otherwise it will look cut off.
About this one, really nie. Liked the edit parts especialy the one with Izumi. Though Olivier and Greed argument looked funnier in manga. Though other parts had been handled better. Good to see that not only main heroes are fighting but even the minor cast is doing their job here. And does Roy really need his eyes back? Riza acts as great reolacement in my opinion.

This entire episode was so freaking awesome. Specially:
-Ed, Armstrong, and Izumi at melee combat with Father. -Greed actually trying to take God's powers from Father while he's being absorbed. -THAT MOTHERFUKIN SOLDIER THAT HEAD-SHOTED FATHER. -DAT SPEAR (Wish they had used Battle Scherzo for that whole segment) Poor Greed only wanted friends ;_; ( I supose what is next in his list is the "Take over the World thing" since he already had his Quimera friends at the beginning.)

Absolutely awesome! Great to see Brig's soldiers playing a hand in Edward's rescue and how everyone collaborates to fight Father. It's a bit cliche for everyone to yell after Edward in his obvious-main-character-defeats-villain scene..... but I suppose I'll let that go as FMA is such a superb story.
Alu's sacrifice is quite emotional but he didn't do it to die and give hope to his brother. He fully expects Edward to get Him back from the Gate. The last masterstroke is Greed observing Edward and being affected by him, finally realising what it is he truly wants. That's an emotional and heartbreaking moment too.
