Total Lunar Eclipse '08

Title. Lunar Eclipse tonight in a few hours or so @ where I am. Moon will turn red/orange colour as the Earth passes directly inbetween the Sun and the Moon!!

This is going to be live.

Anyone else going to be a skywatcher today/tomorrow (depending on where you live)?

Oh dang lucky man.

I have a thing for this nature stuff, so I'm really hyped to see a TOTAL Lunar Eclipse, and this is the only one until 2010 so...

You know what I've always wanted to do? Go up north and camp in the snow (build a shelter), and watch the Aurora Borealis. That would be so sick.. Just need money and time~~

Anyways all the watchers, good luck and enjoy it. I'm chilling (pun) outside tonight with music and stuff

JustInn14 : Heh already huh... No fair

During the afternoon where I live it was snowing and I thought I wasn't going to be able to see it due to the clouds.

Luckily I got a nice view right outside a window next to me and the clouds have left.

I can't believe you people can go outside, lucky it's not below freezing where you are =/.

@ ApostleOfGod, The Totality part (where the moon turns weird colors) hasn't begun yet. I found this web page which might be helpful for you.

It's like -10 here right now I think, or even worse, so I'm in longsleeves, sweater, and a puffy jacket. Just a pair of Dickies pants, but cold is something common in Canada's crazy weather pattern so I'm used to it by now

JustInn14: Thanks that's perfect, now I know when I have to go out (just went out and came back, disappointed :P). Meh I had to take my dog out to business anyway

So far, in my area, it's just beginning. The upper left part of the moon is shaded.

Well Genshiken (yeah lol) the one i go to is pretty good, though i'm the one usually bringing the anime to watch, seems no one else is bothered, we also watch films from time to time and play on consoles, mainly the PS2 and Wii.

Maybe it's just a little different view due to location?

It looks red/TAN colored to me now. It's awesome!

Side note. On the left of the Moon is the planet Saturn, and above the Moon is the star "Regulus". Just thought this would be neat to tell you guys!...
