Lilllian-Hime's Art Thread

HiHi!

Help! Some CC to help me figure out things and how to fix them. I hardly ever request help, because I usually know what needs done. It's either Shikamaru's perspective is off or what. I know it's horrible but I don't want to trash it or start over.

Not finished need good constructive advice...

yeah, looks good! Only the hairstyle, i'm no fan of it. And the eye-job, o well it's not my style. But the coloring looks amazing, and it looks very pro. Keep it up!

Thanks for viewing, will work more on line arts, and somehow improve coloring on hair and drawing hair. I assume that you're mainly referring to Rosette, her hair I came up with on my own, keeping the front similar to her design. Chrno was just drawn from the ending song pic with more hair drawn in areas to... well it was hopefully to make coloring his hair easier.... maybe more simplistic is best.

Lily

ooh, that's nice. I particularly like the first one. I don't suppose you have 1280x1024 version?

Welll, uh... I'm glad you like the pic so much to have as a wallpaper, but deviant is the only place I have to upload so... if you have a graphic program you can resize it.

Lily

To keep from using my own not so great lines, it's easy to just not use them, most of the lines are there, I used my pencil drawing, I colored the lines themselves to similar but slightly darker tones than the area surrounding them.

Thanks so much for viewing.

The lineless look is my intention, but lineless it is not. It's rather difficult to create smooth areas with a mouse that would be without lines. I have actually, since the line layer remains transparent, painted them the same color as the surrounding area, which creates that illusion. I have one picture that is completely without lines.

http://www.deviantart.com/view/5244558/

But as I was putting in the background, I found gaps had been created, ugly transparent gaps where the dark background was peeking through. I did fix it, but it was time consuming. Each picture is of course a learning experience by itself. I now know it's much easier to paint on a temp dark/bright background so that areas that have been colored and the lines have been removed makes those gaps much more noticable.

So I will continuously struggle using a mouse, which is not impossible, and keep dreaming of owning a tablet.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and viewing.

Lily

CLAPS for doing them with a mouse.
Some people i met elsewhere complain about how it sux using a mouse, but they have never think, it's not the mouse who does the work but the person lol
I own a tablet, but i don't see that much difference between my works done by the mouse and those done by the tablet(it's my uncompetence maybe lol). It just help doing it faster ^^
