Problems with the Animesuki forum not loading
I wasn't sure where to post this, but has anybody else had any weird problems with the Animesuki forums not loading properly or stalling out when loading? It just started only a few days ago, and it's happening on both my tablet and my PC.
It will take a long time for the main page to load or it won't load atall, and I have to refresh the page o get it up. (occasionaly that won't work on my tablet either) On my PC, when I open a page on the forums in a new tab, sometiume it'll say "Waiting for the page to load" and then say "The page cannot be displayed." But then I'll hit enter on the address box and it'll load fine.

The only internet change is that I got a new, stronger wireless router, but that was at least a month ago and there haven't been any problems with my internet before or after.
I'll have to look up how to do that test thing you said.

Look up how to change the MTU settings for your OS. That's Maximum Transfer Unit - the number of bytes that you send on your IP packages. If you get too close to 1500 (the standard for gigabit ethernet), and your routing to Animesuki is leading over routers which don't support packets of this size, you can run into trouble and strange "but it worked before, what happened?" problems.
Change your MTU to 1000 and try again. Maybe this will solve your problem. |
