RPG Shijie You Zenyang (WN)
Also known as... So What If It's an RPG World?
Found this one recently on baka-updates, started to read. Description: ''Hey? Why is there a HP Bar and a Title above your head? Why do you know magic? Hey, why are there people slashing their swords at me!? What’s wrong with this world? Why is it so much like an RPG!? HEY!!'' Dude I forgot the name (MC) finds himself in a mmmo-like world, with quests and everything, but has no idea whatsoever how to return until he finds a really aggressive girl and they start to figure things out. Was funny to me. Cover: Spoiler for cover:
Characters: Lin Fir: Spoiler for info:
Aliyah: Spoiler for info:
Dale Lester: Spoiler for info:
It's being currently translated by Scrya Translations. They are already in volume 2 BTW Link for the translations: https://scryatranslations.wordpress.com/ Link for the original WN: http://book.sfacg.com/Novel/32537/

Yeah, the story is funny. Got little further with MT (chinese is rather MT-friendly) although translator's speed is amazing till now. Looks like it is not really RPG-world it's regular fantasy world for the natives, however several otherworlders were summoned by local God/world (sometimes MC got to talk with it) and they are are living within RPG sistem (which is being adjusted by the world in the process).

Probably the funniest world teleport one I read so far.
I really really hate the first girl introduced though, Aliyah. Usually I love the first girl, but wow, is she a ***** The MC though, wow, I feel bad for him, he just gets thrown around and meeting troublesome character after troublesome character.

Read the raw and because the series are from chinese, it will follow chinese style RPG even though it use japanese suffix or it just the translator thing to do it.
I'm conflicted with this series because I like the genre but I also dislike chinese (to be more precise I dislike everything from chinese), so it's kinda up and down when I read this.

Read all chaps translated so far. Damn, the translator is rivaling Tate no Yuusha's speed.Very funny so far, specially the Silent Hill part.
I like the MC even though he is [Whatever Goes]. I think the fact that he is a FPS player instead of a MMORPG gamer explains a few of his actions. By the way, anyone here knows what wall-glitching is? I have a vague idea, but Dale implied the possibility of being used against monsters, so I don't think I truly know

There's many different ways wall-glitches can show up in some games.
Some games you can walk thru walls, but in the interests of monsters. In some games, you can take advantage of the monster AI to get them 'struck' on a wall trying to get to you, and you just shoot them thru the wall, or just get them struck halfway past a corner and just sit there and shoot at them like a stationary target till they're dead.

Undead angel right now, huh? That's what happens when you let amateurs do necromancy. MC never gets to rest lol!
Quote:
He stole the key. Infiltrated the dungeon during the night aboiding all guards. Had all the maps planned before and an ''excuse'' for Fir to feel safe with a revival scroll. Dale didn't expect the dungeon to change and that may have had an impact. He probably knew Fir would become a suspect and killing him would award Dale quite the bounty. He is [neutral] and smart after all

Maybe the other otherworlders are also able to "learn" every skill they bother to learn?
Just because the protagonists is doing this doesnt mean it's an "unique" skill to him. The Dualwielding Fire Swords(wo)man is probably focusing on Warrior- and other Melee-oriented skills... it a question of "specialisation" vs. "diversification". Looking forward to the next chapters. |
