I'll reply to your deviant page here in a bit, but... YAY!!! Another girl fanartist on the forum that likes Naruto... <hug>.... Shika and Ino are so cute!!! They are my fav pair too. <more hugs> hundreds of more hugs, Lillian-hime http://lillian-hime.deviantart.com/ P.S. I plan to dev watch you too, we animesuki forum peeps with deviant pages have to keep an eye out for eachother, ne? Addition: You're such a good artist... but since animesuki forum peeps are all friends I think I'd rather do the constructive part on here. Now for the constructive criticism you want. There are some slight inaccuracies. In the "Shikamaru is whipped". Ino-chan has light blue very close to aqua eye color. The latest chapter of Naruto, Shikamaru is still wearing his 'tiresome' shirt under the chunnin vest. The vest has a much higher collar, that should just about touch his earlobes, and it's rather padded, so it's kinda thick. Shikamaru's earring should be the same length. Other than that, you're pretty good a coloring, keeping drawing, and don't worry if you have to use any picture references. A lot of artists do. Last edited by Lillian-hime; 2004-05-24 at 20:32. |

Okay constructive critisizm right?Here goes...
First of all the lines don't,most importantly,'flow'.They don't give an overall 'smooth' feeling which results from experience.Take some cartoon strip cartoonists for example, their charcaters are just mere lines, but they ooze with the touch of experience which makes the overall picture look smooth. One of the reasons why your lines don't flow,in my opinion,is that the lines aren't 'matched'.You'll get what i mean by 'matched' eventually as you draw more. (I have been drawing for 4 years now almost everyday but compared to the pro Manga-kas' im' still far away, that's the standard i have to strive for and i make it a point to draw everday, that's how much determination you must have, and even if you do have that level, you've stiil got a long way to go.Drawin Manga must be enjoyable, but also i think must be treated like a subject,to be studied and observed) Thats all for constructive critisism.Other then that, prety good job, considering your level of skill. ![]() |
