Plot Summary:

Asano's novels revolve around Takumi Harada, a young man who moves to a mountain town in Okayama prefecture during the spring break before he enters middle school due to his father's job transfer. Takumi is a pitcher, and after the moves he loses faith in his own talent, when suddenly his classmate Kō Nagakura appears in front of him. Kō has a strong desire to form a "battery" (a combination of a pitcher and catcher) with Takumi.

Tomomi Mochizuki. Haven't seen anything he's made in a long time. Last one was... Twin Spica I think? I was too young to really remember Kimagure Orange Road.

Seems more like "coming of age drama, with characters who just happen to play baseball". I can dig that.

I like both "coming of age drama, with characters who just happen to play baseball" manga like Adachi's stuff and straight up baseball manga, so this is a sure watch for me. I hope they don't make it too emotional and that they manage to wrap everything up in one or two seasons.
