Life is Strange 2

Looks like this is a thing. I wonder if it'll have more endings than the first, like was intended for the first game.

I do wonder... will it feature Max again? Or will it be a completely different story with new characters?
I actually prefer the latter tbh... Not because I disliked our main characters, but for me the story I made was done... and i would like to see a new one... because I fear it would be otherwise a typical: "minimal choices from the first game a put into the next, because we can't do both endings... or we might make it so that both endings from the first game happend at the same time lol" I'd dislike that... yeah I look at you Deus Ex!

I'm not entirely sure, but I think they said last year that the new Life Is Strange will feature different characters. I'd definitely prefer this. I love the cast of Life Is Strange, but continuing a completed story because it was successful is almost never a good idea.
I'd love to see a similar concept (nostalgic coming-of-age story) with different conflicts and a different scope (didn't like how much the story went into the supernatural territory towards the end; that's also what bothered me about Catherine / Persona 4 / Persona 5, by the way). |

From comments from last year, pretty sure Dontnod wanted to do it with an entirely different cast.
There are two things I hope they do better this time - the ending and actual pathing/choices mattering. I really enjoyed the first four parts. But the final part felt like a slap in the face. In the end, the only real choice was the final one and it felt so very forced....It really felt like a swipe at Pricefield fans. Make choices actually matter and don't guilt trip the ending. If they do that and build the rest of the core around what they're good at, I look forward to it. But...I'm not sure I'll jump in right away like last time. I don't think I trust them to do actual pathing + genuine multiple endings yet. But I'm hopeful they do. There were so many good things about the first four parts of the original.
