Anyway, Samurai 7 is something I intend to buy, since so far I really enjoyed it. I hope we can see the first DVD's by mid 2005. I've allready read bad comments about FUNimation, allow me to ask why? What made ppl think bad about them? I don't think I've bought any DVD's of them so far, so I'd like comments on this... |

I can see time itself!

The thing is that those who have already made up their minds that this is something that they want to pay money for will still download the "fan"subs of a licensed series since the groups don't have the ethic to stop. I don't like that groups don't stop but I can understand it since it takes a lot of time until the DVD's are released. Fullmetal Alchemist was licensed mid-series this summer, right? First DVD out in the middle of Januray. That's a lot of waiting to do. I'm not sure why since it can't all be about translation and editing but also probably because the Japanese companies don't want it to come out too soon or the Japanese consumers would import R1 DVD's, but I think I've heard something that the DVD manufacturers simply have a lot of work load and stuff get queued for a long time. Anyone can confirm or deny this?

My biggest problem with Funimation is that the last two series they released, Tenchi GXP and Kiddy Grade, they only put 3 eps on a disc. Everybody else puts 26 eps on 6 or 7 discs.
I was hoping Media Blasters or Geneon would get it. Both of them are fast at releasing. Last edited by Za Paper; 2004-09-25 at 18:20. |

I agree, I really hope that they will put 4, or even 5 episodes per disk.
But anyway, no big surprice that Samurai 7 was licensed, if I remember correctly Bakuretsu Tenshi was licensed after 13 episodes and Chrno Crusade before that, also when the series was still airing. I quess everybody wants series that are made by Gonzo. |

This is very unexpected. I was really starting to get into the series. Well, thats just the way things go. They decided to license it at the peak of the series. Just when the samurai made it to the village. Guess i will have to wait until 2005........
